    I have to say that you do a better job than Games Workshop of making me want to understand these characters, and not just play their models. Fine job.

    Maan. Whoever writing this story is genius. Nagashs punishments are f-ing perfect representation of irony. Had some good laughs at the same time feeling sorry for those who are getting punished.

    I like how Nagash is given some different facets here - in particular his 'god of justice' idea. Admittedly, he can be petty and self centred with a lot of it - sometimes he'll just punish people because they act against what he thinks is the natural order (healers, those who bind souls), but sometimes his punishments are genuinely well-deserved (sadists, traitors, killers of innocents). It drives home something that was mentioned in the Soul Wars novel - there are many facets of him, split of parts of his consciousness (a bit like avatars I suppose), and some of them seem to have truly altruistic purposes. The book mentions Bal-Nagash, soothing someone's final moments, and Nagash-Morr, defending the living and the dead alike in battle. I'm glad he's not just "Nagash the evil overlord".

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  6 лет назад +8

      Absolutely! Eventually I'll cover Nagash even more and highlight that aspect. For being an unchanging god of death he has more depth and variety then any others in my opinion. Great comment :)

    Funny fact, when i see Olynder model , i know this is my army, , got hook up with the lore, and model, ... AND i just aboslute love the twist irony , the argony of the whole Nighthaunt army rooster. I'm a military scale modeller, and i never though i will get into fantasy modelling.. But her model is so gorgeous to me , and i'm stick to AOS now (still mainly a military modeller though)

    Honestly sounds like most first marriages lol 😂, it’s like Death imitating life. Great video once again! Love the music and backgrounds, can’t wait till tomorrow. I noticed in one of the background pics you can see good old Manfred with some soulblights overlooking Nagash and lady Oliander , I wonder if the Next chapter of soul wars will introduce more on Soulblights and the Vampire Kingdom’s, you know with the whole situation of Neferata wanting to be free from Nagash and Manfreds hate of Nagash will the Vampire kingdoms rise against Nagash and help Sigmar? It just seems like this new Nighthaunts are way more efficient army than the current death rattle or flesh courts, what you think?

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  6 лет назад +2

      haha! I'd agree the Nighthaunt are more efficient, but I think that's a result of Nagahs enforcing his will on them more then any other faction. Rather then carrying over his Mortarchs from the Old World, he installed a brutally efficient and loyal choice. The army is bound together by some of the strongest spirits out there (Knight of Shrouds) who all are eternally indebted to Nagash. It just seems like he had a lot more to do with it's creation and therefore it's more loyal to him :) Thank you for watching!!!

    Both of these are begging for origin story books. I’d love it if they made Kurdoss empathetic , after all he did worship Sigmar , perhaps his family were Nagash worshippers and evil?

    Hm, the little bit about Kurnoss worshipping Sigmar makes wonder that should he be canonically defeated if it could end up similar to Torglug, where Sigmar takes him up for his merits as a warrior. Though, as Nighthaunt spirits just sort of dissipate and the other Stormcasts weren't big fans of Sigmar's decision, it probably won't happen. Also, it'd piss off Nagash, but honestly everything upsets him at this point.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  6 лет назад +1

      That's an interesting point. That little nugget of good in him.... though Im not sure. We dont have a lot of info on Torglug's life as a human good guy. Was he REALLY good or kind of a tool? My point is that maybe Kurnoss wasnt really a good guy and just did bad things in Sigmar's name. But your line of reasoning is sound and I'm all about cool narrative twists like that :)

    • @kenziemckeever1605
      @kenziemckeever1605 6 лет назад +1

      Reading up on the obsessively fanatical Sigmar Devoted, Kurnoss sounds sort of like he would fit in that category, however he takes it to an almost unacceptable degree (never minding the fact that Kurnoss was rampaging while Sigmar was turning a blind eye and thus probably didn't notice him to begin with). Of course, the fact that he simply worships Sigmar should mark him as good-intentioned, we've seen in IRL history how those hungry for power could invoke a well-liked deity or ideal simply to gain popularity and thereby extend control. Kurnoss's invocations of Sigmar, in a way, could be viewed with similar suspicion as Lady Olynder's shows of grief in light. His insincerity, ultimately, is what I believe will exclude Kurnoss from joining the Stormcast Eternals as Torglug did, even if he is defeated canonically.

    • @ISS600
      @ISS600 4 года назад

      Why is everyone calling him Kurnoss? It's Kurdoss. Is it just a really common typo or something?

    What's the story on the glaivewraith stalkers Doug? Why do they have dog skulls?

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  6 лет назад +3

      There's another video in that series that tackles them, but in short, they were huntsmen in life that chased people down on horses. Nagash fused them to their steed (hence the horse skulls) to hunt for him for eternity!
