hello. are the frets closer to each other or more narrower than a normal size guitar? i travel a lot for work and would like to take a travel guitar with me but not sure if switching from this to a regular size would be a problem or not..
It's a 20.5" scale length, so it's like capo'ing at the 2nd or 3rd fret of a standard scale guitar, though you can tune standard. So it shouldn't be a problem unless you only play on those lowest frets :) As for narrower, no. It's a standard width guitar neck.
Thanks for the review! I have to say for 375 this is nowhere near the most expensive travel guitar. Most of the others I’m considering are double this price, and not as good. Add to that it’s build quality, designed by Gordon smith master luthiers and hand wound pickups. It looks and sounds like a lot of guitar for the money!
Actually, the Blackstar Carry On traveler Guitar is NOT the most expensive traveler guitar, you should check the NET about traveler guitars. Traveler has a series of traveler guitars that are most expensive than Blackstar Carry-On. Anygig traveler guitars are expensive regards what Blackstar has to offer. Yamaha traveler guitars are much more expensive. But if you ask me what traveler guitar is my favorite? the answer is the ALP Guitars. They are sophisticated and up-to-date with the XXI century technology. They are the coolest of the coolest guitars ever made so far. Besides, they can be classified among the Super Dooper traveler guitars and I bet you, if you see and touch an ALP guitar you will agree with me. They are very expensive the cheapest is around 850 going to almost 2000 euros. However, once you touch one of these guitars: YOU ARE IN LOVE, and I mean it literally. I love the idea of a comfortable traveler guitar, cool, playable, low-action, and portable at the same time. My mantra is "My guitar is My therapy".
Got mine yesterday and it must be a lemon. It is TERRIBLE! Won’t hold tune, G string buzzes, tone is dark and tinny, volume pot is loose and scratchy, and the tuners are junk.
@@tomaskey6844 Thanks for quick reply, you've put me in 2 minds of buying one now....I know a lot of the reviews are probably fake, but sometimes an honest one slips through...cheers for that
@@nodgelyobo1 I watched many reviews and can’t understand how mine was so terrible compared to them. IDK. Tried it through several amps but the sound was bad. And the string buzz and volume pot crackle didn’t help. Tuners were junk. Maybe you’ll get a good one?
@@tomaskey6844 Yea, I know what you mean about the reviews..I know the guitar isn't expensive so we can't expect much for the price, but I don't want a piece of junk hanging around my room..And I'm sure you know yourself that anything on the internet when it comes to selling stuff, a lot of the reviews are questionable...In saying that I'll probably give them the benefit of the doubt as I already have 2 sets of mini Blackstar amp/speakers and they are really quite a solid product....I'm really an acoustic player and I haven't ventured into the electric world yet so I'm kind of dipping my toes in first...
Dude the €350/400 is mid range, theres way more expensive even the traveller pro series modX is closer to €500 range wish shipping & they have more expensive models like the v88x & the ltd ec1 at arounf £650/700 & thats before we even get into the handmade custom travel guitars that can cost in the thousands of Pounds/Euros/Dollars. This claim of being the most expensive EVER is just clickbait nonsense, sorry.

Can it stay in E standard tune, or I must tune it up?

Mine will not stay in tune at all. Tuners are junk.
It has 0.12" - 0.52" gauge strings, which helps the short scale have about the same tension as a full size guitar.

That was a month ago....How is it now, or did you send it back?....
@@nodgelyobo1 sent it back. Would have been a fun project but not at that price point. Really wanted to like it but it sucked.
