- We look at and test the new Scott Archery Verge Wrist release.
I discuss how the Scott Verge is different to other wrist releases on the market and why it is more like a back tension release. I discuss how I think Scott could have improved the Verge release.

With all the BS and chaos of the world, Steven is like a relaxing cup of tea or coffee during the day.
Thanks for the review.
Edit: (likely to like)
I'm sure you have reviewed this release before lol. I've got one of these and I love it I prefer the no click setup as like you I jump when it clicks, I'm a disabled archer and have little to no feelings in my hands and I found this release has helped me stop punching
I absolutely love this release….. it’s exactly what I have been wanting someone to make for a very long time
I love this release. Easy to swap to no click and acts just like back tension. Best Scott made in my opinion.
I've been using the Ascent for several years now and I can't see myself shooting with anything else. It's good to see variety in Scott's line-up. I can see someone who's not ready to jump to a hinge release being able to get used to the idea with something like this.
The dog bark suddenly scared me😅
The shudder you "do' is called a flinch. Shooters do it often. It can be trained out. Focussing totally on the follow-through.
I prefer the term "shot anticipation"
The flinch can be cured. A hinge release is a good starting point
I shoot it! Best wrist strap ever! Dint like the click? You have Target panic.. my back tension has been giving me issues for the past months... it's in detention for now.. jumped back with my verge.. insane... I shoot it with my first finger over it and bring it to touch the other top ones underneath..
Mate id like to see a review and your opinion on the spot hogg Keaton. Have had one for years, get alot of questions on it. As a smaller framed shooter it was a game changer for myself both drawing and holding.
Thanks Steve. When are you gonna start a podcast?
It looks like it might be better if it had a more rigid strap.
