The Cue bend offers nothing to the break, it just promotes a needless technique that amateurs will try and ruin the baize on their local club tables

If it added nothing he wouldn't do it

It does - when you drive down through the ball it stops the cue ball bouncing down the table and losing power by hitting the upper half of the head ball. A lot of top breakers do it but Gaz uses a closed bridge hence the cue gets trapped and you see the bend

@@dnbmania it is possible you know to break that way without the tip scraping along the baize. Watch all the big breakers, Chris Melling doesn't go through to the cloth

Please tell me why the Dunster clip is broken into two clips in this video and not just together. Would have looked so much better if they were just kept together... Silly editing. Other than that fantastic compilation

Pool seems so much easier than Snooker…how is that clearance of the yellows included? Half the players in a snooker hall clears those balls no problem, without anywhere close to the amount of time he took. It’s so easy to manipulate the cue ball without much timing at all.

Have a look at how Mark Williams did in Ultimate Pool and it'll tell you the answer to if it's easier or not. Or just a look at Stephen Hendry's videos with Gareth

this is a relatively small table , try playing pool on a 9ft / 10ft table not easy at all

I see this comment all the time and the only reason people post it is to shit on someone else's game they don't even play. If you think pool is about one frame you don't understand it at all. Grow tf up and get out.
