- International superstar Adam Lambert co-wrote every song on his new EP, "VELVET: Side A," including the single, "Superpower." The EP comes four years after the release of Adam Lambert’s last album, "The Original High," which reached the Top 3 in the US and Top 10 in the UK and took his overall worldwide sales to over 3 million units. He has been touring as the lead singer of Queen (Queen + Adam Lambert) since 2012, including two huge world arena tours which sold out in minutes and gained critical acclaim. In between touring the world with Queen, Lambert has been exploring the world of film and TV with a cameo in the Oscar-winning film, "Bohemian Rhapsody" as well as voicing a character in the animated-live action hybrid movie, "Playmobil: The Movie."

I never get tired of seeing and hearing Adam. Whether singing or being interviewed or interacting with people, I can watch Adam for hours. He is so captivating, so articulate, funny, kind, and intelligent. I love the sound of his voice, I love how open he is to any question and topic in interviews, and this particular interview brought expressions of him that are particularly charming and funny. He talking about the ballads made my heart melt, he talking about the Queen, about Wicked, about the American Idol audition made me laugh. Adam can handle all my emotions.

Adam Lambert is not only an amazing talent, but he’s also one of the sweetest & most authentic people in the entertainment industry today....just LOVE how open & articulate he always is. I never, ever get tired of either watching or listening to him...whether he’s performing or not. I truly ADORE both his singing & personality. 🥰

Please Adam never quit singing!! I lost my husband in 2014 at a young age he was only 45 years old from cancer!! and 2 years later I got cancer thankfully I survived and your music keeps me going makes me happy!!!

As a 60 year old gay man who grew up in a time when terms like "gay" and "queer" were some of the worst things you could be called, I'm really proud of this guy. He is such an amazing role model. Smart, caring, considerate, talented, handsome, with zero ego. He's the real deal and the perfect role model for the LGBTQ community, especially teens. On a side note, I still remember watching Simon Cowell's poorly concealed disdain for Adam, and how the media tried to manufacture this big "scandal" about Adam kissing a male (the horrors) in a car. Adam put it to rest with his own rendition of "Yes, I'm gay. Next question?" He's a real gem.
Adam Lambert's performance at the AMA singing For Your Entertainment is the most important statement he made to open people's heart and consciousness about being brave, proud and owning who each individual is.
Adam, If you come back here in the future, please note how excited and involved you are over your Velvet album! Classic and brilliant…very creative and definitely where you belong! Your self-confidence, exuberance and energy are telling me that you are so happy!

We all know Adam has an amazing voice... we all know he’s a gorgeous man... we all know he’s a perfect showman... but now we know he is an erudite, charming, self-effacing speaker! He spoke for 27 minutes in a straightforward, clear, elegant manner! When have you ever seen another star, singer, actor do that?!? I am truly impressed! This man has absolutely no limits to his abilities.
the build series interview he did in 2015, right when The Original High came out, 40+ minutes, he is so genuine and candid and FUN!!
If Adam singing or speaking live were available to be viewed 24/7, I would have no other life and would get no sleep. I'm not even a crazed fan, even if that sounds nuts. He's just compelling. Happy the video went to #1 on iTunes - it's a lot of fun to watch and the song is like no other.
That's one of the best interviews that i've seen of his! He speaks SO well! And he always looks incredible. I really like him as a performer and as a person.

This EP is so luscious. It is very genre-mixing, so it probably won't get much air-time on the radio. That is OK though because it is art. It's his. The colours, textures, and vibe of the new sound is so refreshing. He is unapologetically being himself in his own style and fashion. He is being risky, and it is wonderful. Watching him early on trying to like keep-in his huge personality and fashion sense, was so hard. I could just tell there was this butterfly waiting to burst out in technicolour. Well done Adam.
Luscious is a good word for it. It pops amongst a sea of mundane, imagination-free music. It's impossible to keep someone like Adam Lambert bottled up for long. It's so cool to see what was underneath all those layers....green velvet! Who knew?? lol
He actually accomplished what he wanted. He's always has been a great singer and performer but pervious albums were not groundbreaking, your typical pop music. This new album is another world, absolutely new and at the same time a classic. Velvet is his best work and I hope the next albums will be as interesting as it is. 🤩

:D "Actual vampire" - meaning..? In Romania we have the lore of "Those Who Fly" (ancient Sumerian word "Upyr" origin of "Vampire") who were actually the Soul Mates of people visiting them at night. They were initially Angels, but because the sexual attraction pulled many girls away from material marriage, they were demonized by patriarchal society. So it became very disreputable to have a connection with an "Upyr" who was deemed a mere fantasy and later a mental illness. But the lore remained. The word for "He who flies" in Romanian is "Zburãtor." Also the name "Beelzebub" (used in Bohemian Rhapsody) means "The Lord of Those Who Fly" (mistranslated as "Lord of the Flies" in literature, to signify death and decay within Time where he lives, or "Lord of the Air" in religious texts) - that's why "he" has a demon set aside "for me" (your Soul Mate is the person who changes your whole views of the world, your misconceptions created by society expectations). He or *she*... because the original Vampire (who may be called their Lord) was Lilith (the Serpent who gave 'the secret' to Adam - this secret was written in the Book of Raziel). Serpents is another word for Angels.
Vampires are given a bad name only because the effect of longing for your Soul Mate (Romanian word "Dor" aka Cosmic Longing) is compared with "leaking energy out of your aura" which can be extremely painful. He does the perfect impersonation of Brian May! LMAO! Adaaaam! Travelling/working a lot is a direct effect of being touched by your true love's power! It's not something outside of your love. I know it's difficult to find that core point of connection, but it is what you're trying to find at all times (it's not about balancing work and play, lol). We call this power or cosmic longing "dor" in Romania, about which there is some extensive lore. Central to this lore is the beginning of travel and how that feels. Doing something about that feeling, trying to figure out where that invisible knob on the invisible door is, is the reason why we work so hard, why we travel. So don't fall into the identity trap which projects that "I am this famous person who is always moving around, making it hard to have a connection" - the connection *is* what makes you move around, and you would not have it any other way deep down; you should be loved for your whole self, not just the temporary fixed part existing in LA or wherever. When I realized this truth for myself, it was liberating! I no longer had to explain myself after a travel, trying to fit into my old self I had left back home. :)
