Planning a retreat for my new writing brand later in 2024, and I thought I was going to 100% go with one property I've been working with, but seeing the incredible amenities and facilities here is making me revisit this decision... Loved what you said about freedom being the real goal. I used to have a career in academia working as a scientist. But it never fullfilled me and i did not feel free. I now run a small etsy business from my home which allows me to take care of my family and my home as well as having a creative output which i enjoy. I have much more freedom that i had before because i choose how i spend my time. I do work on earning more with my business though to contribute more to our family income, but i am much happier than before and i can be much more present with my daughter. I really, really appreciate your content❤

Sahil, in your recent retreat video, I observed a 10% focus on business and a 90% emphasis on fitness. While it's your prerogative, I'd prefer a 90% concentration on business or financial content. Your dedication to fitness is commendable, yet it may not captivate a broad audience interested in an entrepreneur's life.
Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure that’s true, as the 9 learnings had nothing to do with fitness. It was a retreat where we did a lot of fitness though. I’m just keeping it real to how I live, not concerned with the reach or mass appeal as much as being authentic to me.

Too many things to count: Always working on empathy, particularly when people aren't wired the same way as me. The feeling that I'm not doing enough is another struggle. Imposter syndrome is constant.
It's so hard to comprehend that individuals like yourself go through these feelings too. My thought on this is that only those people who go through these emotions and feelings are actually putting themselves in uncomfortable and bigger spaces and ultimately growing in life. The biggest takeaway is - you are really never on vacation. Irrespective of where you go, you stick to your daily routine. That's the mindset I need to adapt.
I’ve got the time, energy and interest to learn more about business; I’ve had my head buried in engineering too long. Twitter has a lot of people talking about one person service business and scaling to product, community etc. but you have talked about avoiding that through your holding company. Are there any opportunities on Twitter you don’t feel are saturated or are there other avenues you would recommend more for getting into entrepreneurship through?
My best advice would be to just start tinkering and learning. Entrepreneurship isn't like a 0 or 1 thing, I think it's all about starting to toe into the water - build some things, see what you learn, etc.
I just do my best and don't stress much about it. With a ~2 hour time change, it's not too bad. Usually I go to bed a bit later and wake up a bit later than normal.
I ask myself. How did a millionaire became a millionaire 100 years ago without these multiple routines ?😂i look around and all i see is productivity, routines and showing how good structured my life is. Really crazy these times.

I don’t think much has changed. Rockefeller was known for very strict routines and day management. Just didn’t have social media to share it.
