If the SDP were the main left wing party in the UK I wouldn't be so concerned about the future. There policies are pretty appealing, but at this juncture I think Reform is the only option.

SDP are probably closer to my overall views but for me the massive issue over all others is immigration. Labour are going to win the next election but need to be sent a message. Reform is the only option. This and the next election are the last shot for a democratic solution.

I'm a member of the SDP but I too think that Labour need to have a real loud scare, so I may have to do the the same. I think it's a time where cultural issues out weigh economical ones.

I am a current member of SDP and I sympathise with their aims, though in the recent local elections they did so poorly that I'll be voting Reform in the general election.

I love the SDP, some really balanced, great people among them. Your Policies are sensible, socially just and patriotic. However, you don't have enough presence and visible gusto to push the agenda that we want to see. It is an emergency situation as far as I'm concerned or we will lose the final part of our culture on top of what we've already lost. Reform aren't my natural home but they may be up-to the job under Farage, it's the medicine that we need to keep the country alive. We need to stand up to all the crap, push back quickly and very hard. Yes it will get worse at first under the Labour comrades but we must have stamina or loose..

Sadly - the SDP aren't really gaining much traction in this election. Whilst I do have some time for some the arguments that Rod Liddle makes, I think he was way off when he said he could see a repeat of the 1930s happening(he said that in the after debate for Unherd and not in this speech). That is just falling for the same time Neo Con foreign policy that people like Douglas Murray are pushing.
