He didn’t beat Stafford the Whiners did, the Rams would of won that game but defense just wasn’t good enough last year especially the secondary, the Rams defense will be much better this year, the secondary has been upgraded and the defense loaded up on defensive linemen and edge rushers in the draft, and Stafford won a Superbowl and Purdy isn’t good enough to win a Superbowl 😆🤣

I get so exhausted by the sports media today. Brock Purdy has played 1.5 seasons of football in the NFL, and already these guys have put the ceiling on him. . In that time, he got to the NFC championship game where he got hurt early, and got to within seconds in overtime of a Super Bowl victory. Brock Purdy made plays in last year‘s postseason that propelled the team forward. Had he not made those particular ad Lib off schedule plays, the Niners would’ve gone home earlier

The third quarter collapse in the run game by Shanny is the reason for this Super Bowl loss. It’s the same recipe of Shanny for the big game. Run the ball and forget it for one quarter and rely on the QB. Not that I don’t believe in Brock, but the run game is the bread and butter of this offense.
People seem to also forget Moody missed 38yard field goal in 4th quarter, while he made several much longer ones. If he makes the 38, then 49ers win. That play had zero to do with Purdy or Patrick, and yet the ramifications and legacy all get attributed to, but bad and good, to the QBs.

I grew up watching Joe Montana, in Bill Walsh’s “system”. Joe Montana never had any funky side arm throws, or no look passes, or ran over and through defenses like a Josh Allen. Joe Montana played within the system and did it better than anyone else . He didn’t have the strongest arm, didn’t have the strongest body to save the least. He was just an exceptional quarterback.

Brock Purdy may be in a no-win situation, Julian. Even if he wins, haters won't give him credit because of his roster. And if he doesn't win, you'll see more of the Grant Cohn, Nick Wright, Colin Cowherds of the world accusing him of choking, even if this isn't necessarily the case. This feels a little similar to the dynamic Brady went through from haters where he won because of Belichick, but losses were put on him. That's BS & we can't have it both ways. Im not one to make excuses but how does the team with the most holding calls last season not get called once for holding in 3 superbowls. Kyle Shanahan even called the refs out on it during the game. Theres replays on multiple 3rd downs and not 1 call but called numerous holds on the niners. Yeah i know, cry me a river blah blah blah but its clear whos favored by the league in recent years.

To me doesnt matter what national media is saying, i watch the games brock is an exciting qb to watch because he does go outside of the system to make play a LOT, no one covers it but for those who didnt watch him play every game just look at the stats he was 1st in every category
Purdy catchs a lot of flak because, "he plays in Shannahans offense" , " he is surrounded by great players" or any number of other critics.
In my opinion it doesn't matter where he was drafted. Purdy has all the tools to succeed on any team in the NFL and make a team better because of him. He is athletic, very smart, highly accurate and works to improve what he believes to be flaws or weakness. Just watching him shows me this to be true.
While he can have bad games, Browns and Ravens last year, what Qb doesn't. Since he took the starting job he has consistently got better and better with no big steps back. Just small ones that he takes to heart and learns from.
