I bet if CW tried remaking this now, it would be as successful as Arrow and Flash. I'd love to see Aquaman crossover with those shows. Flash on Tuesdays, Arrow on Wednesdays, and Aquaman on Thursdays. We would just need 2 more heroes to fill up the remaining weekdays.

I think Justin Hartley's charisma suited Aquaman just fine and the chemistry between him and Ving Rhames is great. Having said that, Alan Ritchson also did a good job in Smallville as Aquaman and he would've done just as well in a series.

And for those who have no clue that this was done before Justin Hartley was written into the role of The Green Arrow on Smallville. Now for those who want to rag on Justin Hartley for his role as Arrow in Smallville and compare him to Stephen Amell in his role in the series Arrow as The Green Arrow need to take a big look at the obvious. 2 different actors, so 2 different acting style and 2 different writing styles. Us the public don't have a lot to say who will play who or what. But we do have a voice if a pilot that actually airs gets to make it to series by us watching it......boost the ratings.
It was the number one rated download on iTunes immediately upon release and was talked up as potentially getting a series order but that got shelved when WB and UPN consolidated to create the CW. New bosses, new rules. The old shows only applied that were already making them money. Gilmore Girls took 10 years now to get their story told because they already made WB a mint and didn't even know the new guys coming in.

When I first saw it, I didn't know how movies scheduling and tv stuff worked so, I didn't know this was gonna be a pilot for a show and thought it was gonna be a movie. And I also remember jamming to the music in the trailer alot thinking this was gonna be the best thing ever made lol. I eventually did find it online somehow (at this point, I did know how things worked cuz I was now a little older) and I thought the pilot was alright. I ordered myself the Smallville 20th Anniversary Edition which will come with the pilot of the Aquaman show supposedly will come with it. That and I really do like Smallville. The stuff they do in that is just pretty cool. And I really thought Justin Hartley was awesome as Green Arrow.

The problem is that these Fan made films are made really well. Many are done as a project in Film School with State of the CGI Programs and Video Libraries. So they can splice shots together from different shows. They only show a second or two of each shot so you can't figure out where they came from. Having said that, this ones has dialogue about Aquaman said from at least two different well known actors. So I think this was from a Pilot that never aired.

I actually own this Pilot... on disk... legit. It came with the complete series box set of Smallville. The local library gave it to me because they couldn't catalogue it. For a pilot for a WB/Smallville style Aquaman style series, it was honestly pretty good. Believe it or not this was made before Smallville. It's actually the reason Smallville got made and Justin Hartley eventually got cast as Oliver Queen, in Smallville.
Honestly Aquaman isnt too useless to me, he has superhuman strength and agility, he breathes underwater, communicates with marine life, he could withstand the pressure of deep sea, meaning even machine gun fire wouldnt affect him, and eventually he gets a water hand that can dehydrate any human he touches killing them instantly. And theres still a lot more.

Just to clarify to those that are saying this trailer is using music from the Dark Knight... This is a trailer to a show that never made it to television and was shot in 2006, two years before the first of the Dark Knight movies. That's all.
