It's not particularly necessary tbf. The guns follow actual ballistic curves, so a 50 yard zero is only going to be +/- roughly 3 inches all the way out to about 200 yards. As long as you click the center of their face, you'll get a headshot.

Can someone explain “zeroing” his gun?
TLDR = the range the sight is set up for.
The base is set for 50 m, so the center of the optic is set and will hit center at 50 meters, If you set the optic to 100m and shoot at 100m the center will be of the optic will be where you're round ends up, their is alot of videos on how zeroing works on real guns if you're interested in that stuff
