Europeans and asians are more related due to ancient intermixture and the Mongols. While not as common amongst white people, there are tons of white people with these eyes. My great grandmother, cousin, and uncle all have these eyes and could all pass as mixed race, none of their parents look asian. My family is bred and born in ireland. These features are a sign we intermixed in ancient times before my ancestors left the continent for ireland. My ancestry dna shows I'm fully european, so the admixture is likely so distant I didn't even inherit any genetic markers. I noticed as a child there are a lot of white people from white families that look mixed between white/asian, u can notice in in Eastern europeans but it is also found in all European ethnic groups.
My son is Scottish Irish German and was born with that eye shape but it changed after puberty; now his baby daughter has it and it was prevalent on my husband's side, his brother has that slanted lid to his eyes too. Notice a lot of Germans have this eyelid feature. My boyfriend from childhood had it and was German and Irish, and I used to think his father had Asian ethnicity it was so prominent with him!
Is this a legit question? Well, it's white so it almost reflects all the light back. Besides all those frozen snow crystals act like millions of tiny mirrors.
Oh yes! People who live by the Arctic region designed googles made from animal bone with slits to see through because looking at an all-white environment can cause a lot of damage to the eyes.
Funnily enough, everytime I see a photo I always look really hard at his features cause I’m just WONDERING what’s making me keep looking. His nose, his lips, his eyes?? (This is all besides the fact that he’s handsome)
Real answer is Genghis Khan had hundreds of children and Mongols/Turkic people conquered lands and mixed with the native peoples of the lands they traveled to. Native Americans (some of their tribes) might have Turkic ancestors as you’ll see they look very similar to Central Asians.
There is no such thing as Bantu colonialism. We didn’t establish colonies. We migrated and lived with the Khoi and San and today many Southern Africans are of mixed Bantu and Khoisan heritage bc we didn’t wipe them out like Europeans.
@TheNeoMosala settler colonialism and displacement of natives. Some of them were assimilated and intermixed, but that's normal in every colonization process.
Im not koisan but i am from south Africa and coloured so i learned about this a bit Note, me being coloured has nothing to do with this im just bored tbh

Many people think that epicanthic folds are only found in Asians when in fact they're not exclusive to Asians.
yeah one of my eyes has it and i'm as caucasian as it gets
Me too, I have them too!
Just far more common in Asians
I believe it normally descends in Asia. That’s why many indigenous people have it. It’s super common in Mexicans.

Yes! It does.

Have you ever been in a snowy landscape when the sun is shining? 😊 People commonly wear sunglasses.

No.
It’s common in Southern Africa, the rest has almond and round shapes
@@sabrinarodrigues629 no xD

@@sabrinarodrigues629 huh?
These eyes are very common in Jamaican ppl. My maternal lineage all have these eyes
That can be because of Jamaican Chinese ancestry though, mixing is different
We don't see it much in Australian aboriginals and they do get very high exposure to strong sunlight.
Such a pretty feature
Do you ever cover genetic abnormalities?
Is this what Jennifer Lawrence has too? I always thought her and Barry have similar eyes
