Jaude Center is one of the main shopping centers in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region 1 . It is located in the main square of Clermont-Ferrand , the Place de Jaude from which it takes its name.
Due to its central position in the Puy-de-Dôme department and its commercial offer, the Center Jaude absorbs its clientele throughout Auvergne , over several tens of kilometers around Clermont-Ferrand in a catchment area of ​​over of 500,000 inhabitants.
Served by four bus lines and the tram , the Center Jaude attracts 12 million visitors per year 2 , from five departments.

The Center Jaude 1 is made up of a 22,646 m 2 shopping mall on three floors with eighty shops.

History
In 1960, the municipality decided to renovate the so-called "fond de Jaude" district, to build a shopping center, housing and offices. This district was then considered unhealthy and was particularly depreciated. It was completely razed and construction work on the shopping center began at the end of 1978.
