They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do
They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.
Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys.
Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota.
Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota

Home Free is the best of the very best!! I saw them live last night. They were incredible!! Subbed for more of HF!!
So, Home Free does tend to lean country(ish) but sing many types of music. They sing all a cappella most of the time. The beat boxer (who sings in this one) does use a looper when they tour (which they do extensively). Pentatonix and Voice Play are the other two major a cappella groups out right now. Pentatonix won a season of The Sing off and Home Free and VoicePlay competed on the next season and Home Free won that one.
There are times Home Free has used an instrument but they always highlight the instrument in the video so, if you don't see it, it was their voices that made the sound

Home free, Go rest high on that mountain is a favorite for this old vet. Being fourth generation vet. I remember my dad talking to me about the sacrifices it takes. There are some generational curses no one talks about. Maybe because they are not seen as such, yet maybe they should be. But what do I know. I wake up disappointed. It is what it is. Still Holding on God.
Traveling Soldier is another great cover that has me crying like a disgraced politician whenever I hear it.
Home Free brings a worshipful respect to their gospel music that is very reverentful and exudes honor the song is intended for. They are very intentional in this regard and it is not about them. Everytime I hear them sing a gospel related song, I feel like I was just in church and am worshiping right along side them. 🌠🌟🌌❣

Some great starters are My Church, Ring of Fire, and Boyz II Men end of the road and definitely Man Of Constant Sorrow. These will show you their great diversity.

HF 101: Group was formed in 2000 by baritone Chris and beatboxer Adam Rupp. Tenor Rob Lundquist (glasses) introduced himself to the group in 2008, about the time that HF went full-time. Tim Foust has been bringing the bass since 2012. The group met tenor Austin Brown aboard a cruise ship in late 2012, then asked him to come aboard in early 2013. Chris Rupp left the group in late 2015, and was replaced by Adam "Chance." HF's extraordinary versatility is highlighted by the fact that there is no primary lead singer. This song is a special treat because Adam Rupp generally doesn't sing, but does so beautifully.

Home Free is the REAL DEAL. The best harmonies in the business. Their cover with Peter Hollins on Amazing Grace is also amazing. As for original music, i really like So Long Dixie, Cross that Bridge, Skull & Bones, Understand, Road Sweet Road, Dive Bar Saints & Stargazer Lilles.

Home Free is incredible. They won the 4th season of the NBC show the Sing Off. All a cappella and they sing all genres of music. They filmed this in the Austrian Alps when they were touring there. They have a large catalogue of music and have sung with Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama. You might enjoy their collaborations with Peter Hollens (another amazing a cappella artist) singing Amazing Grace. Love their Christmas music too. God is great! They of course work out their fine harmony tracks in a studio ..... but, with FIVE PHENOMENAL VOCAL TALENTS like these men herein .... a wonderful choral sound assaults the senses .... and you embrace it as you would a light from above .... They have no equal in A Capella signing. They add a few bars of "It is well with my heart" and of course it is welcomed as if it were composed that way. Home Free, Just so great thou art ..... This is the song that introduced me to the amazing and hilarious gentlemen of Home Free about five years ago. I sang it all the time in church, but it never sounded like this! These guys got their start in my state of Minnesota, and they are my favorite acapella group. They cover all genres, and everything they do is phenomenal!

This was filmed in the Austrian Alps. Home Free is also ego-free there is no lead singer - they decide who will sing lead depending on who sounds best doing so. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. They're independent, having bought out their record company contract several years ago. I think you'd enjoy their versions of "Amazing Grace" & "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". When Austin Brown (long curly hair) was a kid, he sometimes traveled & sang with his father's gospel quartet in Georgia. Fall down the rabbit hole - it's a great trip!
They are acapella but don't always just do Christian music, but they do have several songs that are Christian and most of their other stuff is pretty modest. They do country, oldies, pop, and R&B, and a couple of the tenors in the group have even done an Opera video, and did it well. They are unique and are well known for their harmonies. Their bass is amazing, and their beatboxer is amazing. I just love this group.

The Spirit was with these young men in the Austria Alp last summer. Just in case you're wondering, all the very high notes in this song is the beat boxer Adam Rupp and his beautiful Alto voice. Which we RARELY get to hear. This video was recorded and shot in the Austrian Alps last summer during their European tour. Gid is good all the time, one only has to still your mind to hear him. He whispers on the breeze, in the rain, snow and in the birds singing in the trees. I walk by FAITH not by sight. God and Jesus are my rock and my fortress, in their hands I placed my life years ago. Amen.
