Ihr seid nur noch der echte Wahnsinn
Sauber 💪👍
This is absolutely great stuff. I just had one question on the auto adjustment on the filter EQ - will it limit corrections to 9 bands so that band 10 is always available for Allpass for instance? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Yes, Auto-Filter only uses bands 1 to 9 because 10 is reserved for phase correction.
First of all I'd like to thank you for all the work you've done with the new features added lately. They have truly changed the experience I've had with my soundup and I'm super happy with the product.
I have a question about the microphone and the freq response curve. If I'm using just an Umik-1 instead of a binaural mic should I be autotuning to the binaural calculation curve or the sum or the log. sum?
Thank you for feedback.
For mono microphones, logarithmic sum and sum 100% are identical. Also the algorithms of the binaural sum cannot work, so that this is also almost identical (minimally decreasing to the high frequency).
Given the remaining tolerances: No matter.
Thanks for the fast update! For those of us with a non binaural mic and a calibration file for a USB Omni direction mic (eg UMIK-1), any advice on when we can upload a calibration file and tips?
Have a look on timestamp 17:40 - import micropfone calibration.
@GLADENMOSCONI
Hello Frank,
I am wondering if the Soundman binaural microphone has been calibrated or if there is a need for calibration with the binaural microphones. How does this work. Thanks for all of your help.
Mega!
Immer wieder Vielen Dank!
Damit könnte man ggfls.
Is it normal, in the reference curve editor.....i cant change frequencies with 10k and above??
And when doing the final EQ and setting the speaker size... What frequencies does it need??? The frequency which the speaker can handle of set in the crossover.
You are right, the input field is too small for 5 digits. Fixed in the next version.
Speaker Size refers to the largest speaker connected to this equaliser. This determines the lower limit frequency of the Auto-EQ. Can also be edited manually according to the capacity of the speaker.
Jup, genau so.....
Is it possible to tell the Auto EQ, that it can only decrease the level but not increase?
Yes, you can, no problem.
In the Advanced settings of the AutoEQ, the max. boost can be set to zero. And/or place the target curve below the measurement curve, then the AutoEQ pulls the frequency response down to the target curve.
@@GLADENMOSCONI Perfect! Thank's for the hard work!
Excellent process and work flow.
I have 2 questions as a lot of people ave USB mics like UMIK, how will they play Swipe tones? Also can time alignment work with those USB mics?
Hi,
the sweep is also generated by the DSP itself in the USB measurement. The same applies to the Dirac pulse for time measurement.
So all measurements are also possible via USB microphone.
The measurement via USB is currently still a little sensitive if the conditions do not fit (level, background noise) - we are continuously improving this.
@@GLADENMOSCONI Thats excellent. Frank has really done great work for repeated workflow.
1 more question. Whats the workflow now with the new software?
Set Crossovers for drivers followed by levels. Run Delay, then phase and then EQ? Or eq before Phase/PhaC?
Can you please do a video with a front active 3 way and rear speakers plus rear sub? I'm trying to figure out how to set phase between an active 3 way front and a rear speaker set up and also run the auto eq. Also, why do you put the subwoofer in the FRONT mixer vs in the subwoofer mixer?
Yes, at times we will.
Phases in your setup:
3-way front system first. Shift tweeter to midrange, then shift woofer to midrange.
Now shift subwoofer to woofer.
Finally, shift the rear system to the subwoofer.
@@GLADENMOSCONI Awesome, thanks for the clear info and fast response!
with update 3.42 my dsp atomo 4/6 stop play, i am importing the last preset that works if i open with 3.40 version. with 4.42 no sound from dsp. all measurement sounds work but when i try then to play music from bt card nothing
There were no changes in the DSP from 3.40 to 3.42. All changes affect only the automatic calibration.
The error must lie elsewhere.
Send us your preset file and we'll see what's going on.
@@GLADENMOSCONI thx for the reply, where to send the present?
@@xarismarkou2919 You can send on info (at) gladen.com
@@GLADENMOSCONI I would like to ask one more question that I haven't understood well, in my setup I have an active two-way + subwoofer, my midrange is a highpass filter 180hz, if I take it out for calibration, I won't have a problem without a highpass filter? or does the automatic calibration also put the hpf filters automatically ? ?
@@xarismarkou2919 All highpass filter stay active. Only for time delay you have to switch off lowpass.
