Got mine from an AD brand new for £2400, so was a no brainer with the discount. Great watch specially for those looking to get into watches but cant deal with the difficulty of getting a Rolex nowadays at retail.
@@comeonman7423 Yeah, i was actually bummed out as this was after the retail price increase in january, if i had pulled the trigger before it was going to be a bit less ! crazy
Very strange… I know the retail price is creeping up and probably will continue to, but that seems a stretch. I have seen them in windows to buy at retail - so I would shop around
For me a BB58 on it's own bracelet can never be a daily driver, it's a spot too small IMHO, especially with the female endlinks which cause a weird kink if your wrist is large. But the main problem is the lack of on the fly adjustment, I personally find that even "just" the 1/2 link flip over on something like a Daytona isn't enough unless the watch is nearly always worn loose. Really, if I'm choosing a watch for the day or longer when I might want/need it to be a snug fit I can never see past anything with a glidelock system. You can adjust it in seconds if you're driving, running, in the gym, whatever. I fact the only thing wrong with a Submariner as a daily driver is it's a bloody Submariner, unless you've got one hell of a collection it's likely it sits at or very near the top of your price range. Hardly daily driver material although I am of the opinion that any Submariner is a work/tool watch all be it in some pretty gaudy colours these days! I'm thinking maybe a black on of these on a Nato strap could be good, but what building there...really is a Dr No Bond big crown Sub, so I'm just building a homage, a rep, a fake, I may as well actually use a fake, look like I've got the real thing (to the 0.5% of the population who know what's what) and not stress about having thousands of £££ on my wrist at work.....
Agreed with the adjustability on the bracelet and with the sub comments. For the price the Tudor was great value, now it’s retail price is creeping up :(
@@watchstocksuk4657 I actually just picked up a Black Bay Heritage, an early ETA movement (smiley) one, this might be the daily driver watch. It's on a NATO strap right now.... Although...looking at my wrist...I'm still wearing the Sub! I was bad mouthing it a few mins ago, but it's still the jack of all trades...and the master of most them all as well! In fact, I know why it's on, I've had couple of whisky's and the heating is on pretty high! So my wrist has swelled up. So what's gone on? The Sub, glidelock fully out, easy isn't it?
I’ve owned this watch twice and sold it twice and now thinking about buying it a third time. My main issue is that aluminium bezel, unlike you, I’d hate if it did patina or fade. I’d prefer a ceramic bezel insert for me.
The size, the dial, hands, bracelet - all winners. If the bezel is the issue, why not get an extra bezel, it’s something you can switch out yourself with a tool and somewhat steady hand :)
I personally think aluminum works on this watch as it continues the vintage theme. The ceramic is newer technology and it doesn't match the bb58 aesthetic and while the rest of the watch ages and gets more patina over the years, the ceramic will remain same looking which will throw it off. Edit..well , I just watched the rest of your video and you said exactly the same thing. Trust me I didn't copy comment you lol

Wow that’s a really good price, how did you get it that cheap? Bracelet or nato?
@@comeonman7423 Bracelet, in Andorra. Tax heaven country
@@loganbruce wow that’s a fantastic price. Should hold value for a very Long time.

Congrats! A great choice. Enjoy it
Rolex and everyone else had that same bezel for decades, it will be fine. Also not a big deal to just replace the insert.
Just got the same watch. Love it. Cool vid, mate!
Thank you!
what are the details on that watch roll?
Great review 👍
Can I know what's your wrist size ?
Hi, glad you enjoyed the video. My wrist is 6.25-6.5 inches :)
I have the black and guilt and it's awesome. Last time I looked on the secondary market on bracelet they were at £3800 for some reason?

You can swap out the BB58 with the Ranger bracelet. Perfect fit and is adjustable.
Long clasp and inarticulate links is not suitable for narrow wrists. Sides will protrude past your wrist.
How narrow, I have smallish wrists 6.25- 6.5 inches and it fits fine. I’m sure it would work on smaller than 6 inch wrists easily
Not talking about circumference. Width of wrist if too narrow, the links will protrude.
@@kelvin.008 Hi Alvin, my wrist is around 51mm - I’ve had no issues. Hopes that helps !
@@watchstocksuk4657 mine is 56mm but not meaty. I bought Uncle Seiko's half link, helped a little.
I have one, 6.5 inch wrist, fits perfect. I think depends on your wrist shape really

@@thrifty85 I think if you take your watch to RSC they replace the bezel for around £50 , ask if you can keep the old one.
