  • Chief Engineer at Electric Feel Studios, Nick Mac (Post Malone, Travis Barker, 24K Goldn) records an entire song with The Wavys using the Focusrite ISA One and the Clarett+ OctoPre.
Nick runs all of his important sources through the ISA One to benefit from its iconic Lundahl transformer-based circuitry designed by Rupert Neve for the original ISA 110 preamp and Focusrite Studio Console.
The Clarett+ OctoPre is an ADAT expansion preamp feeding his Apollo Twin audio interface. It expands his setup from two to 10 channels of high-quality inputs and outputs.
The Wavys lay down the core drum loop of their track using an AKAI MPC before switching to guitar and bass, which Nick records using a DI feeding into the Focusrite ISA One.
While tracking overdubs, Nick can benefit from the Clarett+ OctoPre AIR mode, which is an all-analog simulation of the Focusrite Studio Console circuitry, adding mid-high presence.

I like how you keep your water bottle on the floor, not your desk. What is up with the red phone ?. So do you have all that plugged into a Furman ?.
My Furman in is a metal panel under my desk, I can't access the switch. What I need is a inline 110 switch, 15a for a table saw, then I can kill all the power at once.

This is actually super legit! So just to clarify, the ISA was used on vocals, bass, and acoustic guitar? What converters was being used to make this happen? Also where can I find this SONG?!

Good video showing the capabilities of the ISA one. Production sounds great... But this super locked-to-the-grid, four chord, four to the floor, formulaic, predictable pop music is so tired at this point. AI can make this track in about 30 seconds. Anyway, sorry to be negative, nice job showing the ISA One in action.
