It’s crazy, I finished this video just a few days ago and prices have already flown past the examples I used here. Either way, looking forward to playing some of the new prismatic evolution cards (like budew) in the upcoming videos!
Really good video for beginners! One little thing I'd have added was that acquiring cards to play, is actually really affordable as many think it isn't at all and you also get cool stamped cards in prize packs in locals to add to the collection and your decks !
@@Evans_Pokestop and not only that but if you were to buy everything on tcgplayer/cardmarket even tho shipping would add up you'd still be at a fraction of what any other major tcg would cost you!
I like this and want more people to see this! Honestly I feel like not enough people enjoy playing the game especially since my local tournaments have like 6-8 people.
I just dropped a binder showcase video this week, and planned on making a video on how I don't like the TCG, after playing for 3 weeks... But, recently, the more I play it... The more I want to come back! I actually find myself getting better each time I play and actually recognizing cards that made me say "Wtf is this" the first time I played 😂 After you acquire the knowledge of what cards people are playing, you can start to build your own deck, and it may not be good at first, but you add and take out cards and you will finally see yourself as much better player, I know I am! I think I'm going to rethink that video I was going to make.... 😅
@@yesteryearr I was the exact same way the first time I played. I didn’t see the appeal at all. After trying a few decks I finally found one that was really fun and then I was hooked into find more ways to win haha
@@Evans_Pokestop I’m a super casual player and trying to get a play group started with my friends and family. I have been grabbing singles to adjust my decks instead of going all in on packs. I do love pack opening but it just doesn’t seem really sustainable over a long period of time. I did open up a bubble Mew that I just realized skyrocketed in price recently! Now the question is to sell for more playing cards or hold! Thanks Evan!

Very good point! Some of the pre-made battle decks like charizard/pidgeot or miraidon are solid. And the prize packs are so so helpful

I've been corrected on this before and one day I swear I'll get it right 😅

Love the outro 😂 ❤
Had to steal a little inspiration from Ferris Bueller 😄
hopefully i can break my 26 lose streak soon
JUST BUY SINGLES OR MAYBE FIND A SWEET DEAL FOR A COMPLETED DECK, IT'S FINE EVERYONE!
Exactly! There are complete decks out there for like 30 bucks. Keep calm and play on 😎
Absolutely bravo content dude! We can still enjoy Pokemon and remain financially responsible!
Thats exactly it! Just gotta weather the storm
Investors don't like being compared to scalpers but then force scalper prices upon players lmao.
Im playing lost zone dragapult
I haven't tried that with lost zone yet but any deck with dragapult gets a thumbs up from me 👍
I got one reason not to, cause the sets have more then doubled in price and it’s impossible to get new cards
just buy singles
but TCG Live is freeee and the regular ex/common cards are pretty affordable on tcgplayer
im down for you to coach a relative bigginerintermediate like me for content
@@jetto__421 I’m not sure I’m good enough to coach but I’d be down to get a group together to play!
I’m still buying singles. ❤
Yes! That seems like the way to go. I’ve been eyeing the dragapult SAR from terastal festival
