Would you travel with CrossCountry again? My wife and I are thinking about taking a trip to Cardiff, then Birmingham, from Newcastle, but the only thing putting us off is the fact that we would have to take CrossCountry. We have a had a few trips over the past 18 months, the vast majority of which have been on LNER trains and our experience with them has been fantastic .. We don't want XCountry to be so bad as to ruin our trip
@@brianmorrison9168 well 221 super voyager are nice so I say yeah travel with them one thing as long it’s not on a busy service. One thingI don’t recommend is the class 170 turbo which you get it from Cardiff to new street. But except for the class 170 problem the 221 from new street to Newcastle is good class 221/220 are very good just as long you don’t travel on a busy day.
@@elijah_trains Thanks for the great reply. Certainly a good tip .. don't pick a busy day .. trouble is, I'm not sure which are the busy days. probably for us .. Saturday afternoon NCL-CDF, Monday lunchtime CDF-BHM, Wednesday late afternoon BHM-NCL. I think I'll book our hotels, then I'll have to travel 😁😁 Regards from Whitley Bay
