It almost seems like something that could only happen in your wildest imagination, but the sad fact is, it's not a dream, it's a reality :( Praying for all seniors in the world. i honestly feel horrible for all of the seniors. i'm only in eighth grade and at first i was upset about me missing my final year of middle school but i had to take a moment and remember that seniors have it way worse. so, i came up with an idea. although this may not ever reach any higher authority other than my parents but, all schools should use the money meant to go towards things at the end of the year and use it for the kids incoming to the grade (including colleges and universitys) and provide for what the previous students missed. like seniors, going to college. the colleges should all provide the things the seniors never got to experience or the states should do something. i just find it so unfair that 12 years of hardwork may never never get the full reward that these students deserved.
That's a cute idea but it wouldn't happen on a college level, colleges are beyond the public school system, they wouldn't share funds. There are also other logistical issues on the college level. As for the individual states organizing something? I don't imagine that happening either. Ultimately it will be up to the school's and school boards to make those decisions on their own. I know my old high school has already promised something, even if it's later and not the same. And I know of provinces that have provincial testing that don't have cap and gown until winter break in December anyways. So those are all potential options.

Mean while the kids that were getting bullied are sitting at home like: Thank god I don’t have to go there anymore. Benefit is we didn’t have to hear about any school shootings this year..... So there’s a plus. Besides senior year is over rated. I never went other than for the test. If anyone should feel sad it’s the Winter and Spring Athletes.
I’m a middle-schooler now going on to my last year before high school. I play percussion in our school band. I have met so many inspiring seniors, one of which got the role of Drum Major this year. We had so many great memories, and knowing that I will probably never be able to see many of them again breaks my heart. Stay strong, seniors.
If there's one thing from this year I wish I could go back and change, it would be the fact that I've taken so much of it for granted, including all the senior traditions. Seeing videos like this helps somewhat and gives me hope for what's to come. This just happened unexpectedly. We won’t get to go to our last proms, play our sports for the last time, we may not get to walk at graduation at all. We watched our older friends and siblings walk across the stage as they begin the journey out into the real world. We still may get the diploma, but we may get to receive it along side our best friends. We won’t get to do the senior pranks or get all other senior events that the seniors before us got. We got it differently this year than all other years combined. Most of us seniors were born around the time 9/11 happened which shocked the nation and the world. This doesn’t feel fair to any of us because we didn’t know that was maybe our last day together at school so we didn’t cherish it like we should have. You didn’t get to say goodbye to everyone you knew and made memories with, you didn’t get to make fun of the freshman like you always do, you didn’t get to have those last few moments of being in school waiting for the bell to ring so you could drive away for the last time, you didn’t get to walk in front of everyone and spend those last few moments with your class making those last few memories, you didn’t get to play in your last season of your high school sport, you didn’t get to go to your last student council meeting, you didn’t get to go to your final club meeting, and finally you didn’t get to make it last you couldn’t soak it all up for the last time to enjoy it. Because this happened to the Class of 2020 I’m so sorry and I will soak in all the memories when they happen and I’ll cherish them after the fact. Crazy... it’s like when you realized one day you went inside after a day of playing out and never realized you never played outside with your friends again...and you didn’t even know it was the last time. I was supposed to graduate elementary this year, I would already be in middle school but in my area 6th grade is in elementary. I wanted to leave elementary with a nice good luck into being an official middle schooler but that was all take away by the spread of COVID-19. I feel bad for the seniors tho because their last year of highschool was supposed to be a special and fun year so they would never forget the fun abt being a senior they were let into the real world unexpectedly💔😪
All these things require friends. I was going to spend these last few weeks to get back in touch with the only friends I had left, starting from college I will start back at square 1. No friends, new environment, just like in kindergarten but more experiences
im sad also, because at my school, we were about to go to jamestown for a field trip, go to a band trip, do colonial day, and so much more stuff to do. and here i am, doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer and doing work all day. but, i still am grateful that my school and other schools are trying to keep us safe from covid-19.

I’m a freshman, and my heart breaks for you guys. The seniors in my chorus class are the ones who helped me get started in high school. They were always so sweet and they were there with advice and they could make you laugh and help you see that one bad grade isn’t the end of everything. I love all of them, no matter how much I complained about this one guy who wouldn’t stop talking about his college, and I hope you guys find light in this.

This just now hit hard since I’m also a senior. In Washington State, schools are now closed for the rest of the school year. I was looking forward the most to graduation day because I honestly thought my freshman year that i wouldn’t graduate but now a senior, I’ll be graduating with more credits than I actually needed. As a college student who’s on its final semester, my heart goes out to all of the high school seniors. Even though there’s so many more area I wanted to explore outside my campus and people I’ve met in college I wanted to spend time with before graduation, I feel so bad for all of you guys only because you guys are missing out on the typical high school traditions in which suppose to be a special time for you guys. You (High School) and I (College) may not have a proper way to end our final year in school. I’m a senior and my high school experience was nothing like this. My schools lame with no school spirit so prom and grad are the only good outcomes of it all and we can’t even have that 😭
I'm not super disappointed, I'm kind of relieved just cause all the senior stuff is very much out of my comfort zone, which is good, but I'm not too disappointed about the end. I feel bad for the seniors who DID want this to end the way it was planned. (that's most everyone). I took the opportunity however, to set a goal for myself as I live in a state without a stay at home order. I'm trying to visit every state park in Iowa and its been a really fun thing to do so far. My goal is to get them all by the time I go to college. If you are feeling down, set some sort of goal for yourself and once you have finished it, it'll feel like your senior year was just something to lead up to the goal.

My school just announced that they will still have a graduation ceremony on May 21st. I’m so happy for the seniors at our school who can still walk down the aisle, but also sad because a lot of them might come in contact with COVID-19 because everyone will be close together.

Crazy... it’s like when you realized one day you went inside after a day of playing out and never realized you never played outside with your friends again...and you didn’t even know it was the last time. Shits rough. I miss my dawgs and Idek if I’ll see most of the people I’ve grown up with ever again in my life. Forced to move on without being ready.
I was supposed to graduate elementary this year, I would already be in middle school but in my area 6th grade is in elementary. I wanted to leave elementary with a nice good luck into being an official middle schooler but that was all take away by the spread of COVID-19. I feel bad for the seniors tho because their last year of highschool was supposed to be a special and fun year so they would never forget the fun abt being a senior they were let into the real world unexpectedly💔😪

All these things require friends. I was going to spend these last few weeks to get back in touch with the only friends I had left, starting from college I will start back at square 1. No friends, new environment, just like in kindergarten but more experiences
i’m only in eighth grade right now, but this literally made me cry, my love goes out to anyone and everyone who is struggling💕
It’s sad to think that we went about that last Friday without knowing that will be the last time we would see each other 💔

im sad also, because at my school, we were about to go to jamestown for a field trip, go to a band trip, do colonial day, and so much more stuff to do. and here i am, doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer and doing work all day. but, i still am grateful that my school and other schools are trying to keep us safe from covid-19.

I’m a freshman, and my heart breaks for you guys. The seniors in my chorus class are the ones who helped me get started in high school. They were always so sweet and they were there with advice and they could make you laugh and help you see that one bad grade isn’t the end of everything. I love all of them, no matter how much I complained about this one guy who wouldn’t stop talking about his college, and I hope you guys find light in this.

This just now hit hard since I’m also a senior. In Washington State, schools are now closed for the rest of the school year. I was looking forward the most to graduation day because I honestly thought my freshman year that i wouldn’t graduate but now a senior, I’ll be graduating with more credits than I actually needed. Go class of 2020!!

As a college student who’s on its final semester, my heart goes out to all of the high school seniors. Even though there’s so many more area I wanted to explore outside my campus and people I’ve met in college I wanted to spend time with before graduation, I feel so bad for all of you guys only because you guys are missing out on the typical high school traditions in which suppose to be a special time for you guys. You (High School) and I (College) may not have a proper way to end our final year in school. As much I feel so bad for you guys compared to me in college, at least we both have a future we can look forward too 😊 ❤️!

I'm in 8th grade and was really sad when our DC trip got cancelled until I realized my brother wasn't going to be able to walk to get his diploma dispute how hard he's working since his mental illnesses

Through all this we all share one memory together and that is getting through this and walking across that stage in the summer. it brings so many tears to my face realizing i cant go back and do it all again. Class of 2020, you are not alone we are in this together.

I have a kindergartener and I am feeling that loss for him. Thank you for being so positive in this and helping this old fifth grade teacher feel better about all of this, because I am feeling the loss that I don’t get my last months with my students.

I have senior friends and I'm a freshman, they helped me a lot and now I feel so bad for them.
I'm not super disappointed, I'm kind of relieved just cause all the senior stuff is very much out of my comfort zone, which is good, but I'm not too disappointed about the end. I feel bad for the seniors who DID want this to end the way it was planned. (that's most everyone). I took the opportunity however, to set a goal for myself as I live in a state without a stay at home order. I'm trying to visit every state park in Iowa and its been a really fun thing to do so far. My goal is to get them all by the time I go to college. If you are feeling down, set some sort of goal for yourself and once you have finished it, it'll feel like your senior year was just something to lead up to the goal.

My school just announced that they will still have a graduation ceremony on May 21st. I’m so happy for the seniors at our school who can still walk down the aisle, but also sad because a lot of them might come in contact with COVID-19 because everyone will be close together.
