Another great video from captain Rob and mad Colin. Said it before and I say it again " great work from the geekworks shed " keep up the quality workmanship captain Rob. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing the bonus footage! It's a little harder for us across the pond to participate in the remembrance and honoring of D-Day, but I assure you, we do remember.
Alternate way of making the half round strip for the leading edge slats, make a scraper take a bit of tin can, drill a hole it it the size of the full round, snip out the tin cutting half way through the drilled hole, to give you your scraper - then run it up and down the balsa to give you your half round.....
Thanks a bunch Rob for the coverage of the Red Arrows. We just wouldn't have got any of that here in the colonies. Still waiting for the HK Paramotor beach solo. Keep em coming Rob
Twenty two DC-3 aircraft headed for Normandy dropping old style mushroom parachutes, one of the parachutists was non other than Guy Martin, enjoyed your beach Red Sparrows display too filmed by Colin. This reminded me of a long time ago when we went to see the airshow on Rye over the beach just like this. I think you can call that a kind of wood spindling on the lathe and a bit of wood milling on the drill press saved a lot of time too,you are right Rob you have to get creative sometimes to get these jobs done. The weight saving exercise will be well worth the effort,I think all of those screws is a bit of a gimmick anyway, screws are heavy after all. Down the road here Flair products sadly closed its doors for the last time on Friday another sign of the changing model building times, the huge premises a former bus station is now empty and my trips to get balsa from there now a thing of the past. Nobody wants non laser cut kits any more and the competition from foam ARTF's has bit hard, but in all fairness the UK suppliers could have made models like the Storch you are building but they have dragged their feet and lost the market.
Rob, I am fairly new to the hobby and all that goes with it.With "SOLAR" film bust how will that effect most people? Will there be a area that will have no other product to use?Can you do a little comment on your views on how and who it will effect and perhaps alternatives, just your opinion of course.

Thanks Bud. Soon there will be no one alive that fought in the second world war...
