Clamp the free ends together in a vice and the loop in the jaws of a hand drill. Keeping mild tension, start to turn the twist drill and it'll come together: it'll shorten. Don't use a power drill. If you need to even it out, run it through some nylon-covered pliers.

omg I LOVE THIS one! I'm going to make it for myself for my birthday. :) but I'm going to add a huge rose on it someplace. and I'm going to use black wire instead of the copper wire. the rose will be a silver one also. so silver and black... my fav. ;) and since I have big man hands, so I've been told" lol it's hard to find bracelets that for me good. now... I'll just make my own. :D THANK YOU! 😙💖

Hi Christine, I love this bracelet, in fact i love all your bracelets. Could you use twisted square wire as a replacement for the round twisted wire? the square wire being the same size as the round wire because you don't have to twist two strands together to make the thickness of the twisted wire if you know what i mean. I bought your book too and i love it lots of great pieces to make in there. I recommended it to other crafters too.

It's an elegant beauty for a sophisticated lady. That could be done in precious metal with outstanding result as your design is so nice. Many thanks for the very detailed tutorial
Not an easy one to make for a beginner as some experience of wire handling is needed to get it regular.
I have to make one with my own twist (pun intended...) in jeweler's bronze (called also nu gold or tumbaga) round and square wire.

You are a great teacher and your projects are beautiful! This celtic wirework bracelet is almost exactly like my wedding ring, a four strand rope braid in cast gold (although I've worn it for 31 years and the rope features have worn off). I'm going to make this as a surprise for my wife, and maybe a matching one for myself. Do you use silver and gold wire? They're expensive and I'm afraid of the waste if they don't work the same as the other wires I use.
