Criminal that this is only 2 minutes. Genuinely kinda hate this trend toward much shorter songs in the streaming landscape. I miss when 4 minutes was considered the "sweet spot."
So, initially when i first saw it, i admit i felt the same. BUT, after thinking it over, i bet that from a production/cost standpoint, they probably had to keep the song relatively short. They mentioned during the premier livestream Q&A that each artist was given the same amount of money and timeframe to work on their segment… i’m sure a longer song would mean more artists they’d need to reach out to and pay.
Not taking away from op’s statement cuz I agree. But when a song is fire it’s fire, can’t add or take from it. It ain’t about the destination, it’s the journey. 🙃
I've known these dudes for close to a decade, side their days of playing tiny holes in the wall for 5 people. I've seen them live more times than I can count. They've always been so on point live. I have yet to hear a recording that does justice to how ridiculously good they sound live
