I’ve been artistic my whole life, and I’m pretty good with pencil and charcoal, but I’ve never been good with paint; largely because of my lack of understanding regarding the use of color. None of my instructors have explained the use of color like you do and it seriously blows my mind. It has always seemed like a simple equation that I couldn’t grasp but now I’m realizing that I just needed it to be broke down for me. I’m excited to take a stab at painting again since graduating HS 10 years ago and feel like I’m better equipped so thank you!

I love your videos! I am a scenic painter and find that other painting educators seem to be too small scale for my application. Although I don't do "pictures" like you do, I really enjoy learning your techniques for various textures and effects.

Great Job Joe!!! I always wanted to paint an outer space scene. You are so good at what you do. I love the colors and will try to paint what I always had in mind. Thank you for your videos. If I had the money I would buy one of your paintings, but I am not so young anymore, 69, and love to paint. I am follow your teachings and see how I do with my outer space painting next time. Thank you Joe. You are great and kind. I am very impressed.

How anyone can give you hands down beats me. They obviously just want to ridicule other people. Bet they couldn't do what you do. Thankyou for your wonderful tutorials...Lynda from NZ

I am a thorough space art fan. I have struggled with realism for years, and tried many methods with only what I felt were only modest results. Nice to look at... But a waste of paint really. Now I've have the taste of a great airbrush, and some high quality acrylic inks, and great mediums... I went from... meh... It's nice... To... What just happened. And a really good compressor. All super dried and regulated at both ends, and been having some life changing results. I found I love painting right off a black background right the start. But the depth you achieve is immaculate. I have new vision now...
      Thank you sir.

one question : when you start to bring on the colour , do you allready have the "cloud" and its dimensions in your head or are you just moving intuitively and then working the form out like in the process? i try to work it out but it s allways leading me to an overworked mess which is nt 3 d anymore in the end...

Hello Joe I have 2 questions
    1. I started my first painting on wall. I used emulsion paint and mixed some of it with white paint and some of it with wood glue (as instructed by my teacher) so I had two types of paint. today was my first day and my throat started to hurt after using it. My questions is why does my throat hurt did I do something wrong? and what should I do?
    2. The painting am working on is three big pink roses with shades of blue and some feathers beneath them. what color do you suggest for the feathers?
thank you so much I really hope you read this
