That was Jasmine defending herself AFTER MTG attacked her. She did not start it, she defended herself and did it beautifully.

Then, after MTG said “awe, did your feelings get hurt”, MTG said to AOC “why don’t you debate me”, to which AOC says that is self-evident. MTG said back that AOC isn’t smart enough to debate her. Everything that happened in that meeting was started by the MAGA Reps who took the field trip to NY to support Trump causing the meeting to be rescheduled without any notice, from 11am to 8pm. Then MTG continued to interrupt the Dems during their opening statements with random questions. MTG was doing everything she could to cause chaos, and Boebert and Luna jumped on board.
I truly respect Ms. Crockett. She was a brilliant civil liberties lawyer before she became a member of TX government, and now the House. She is widely respected here in TX. And, I watched the whole thing go down in real time. MTG was the instigator. I just wan to clear the record.

Crockett made her comments after MTG agreed to have her words stricken from the record and asked AOC for a debate and insulted her by stating she was not intelligent enough. Crockett made her comments because Comer seemed reluctant to strike MTG words and wanted to allow MTG to speak her 4 1/2 minutes. MTG comments would disqualify her from speaking according to the House rules.

Before I get started, I would like to point out that Chairman James Comer is either erroneously, due to incompetence, or downright fraudulently conducting these hearings for a concern that is outside of the purview of the House Oversight Committee, and should be instead handled by the House Judiciary Committee, if it was actually a legitimate concern, which it is NOT! 😂 But even if the proper committee took up this particular concern, President Biden has already asserted executive privilege over the audio recordings of his interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who conducted the investigation of his handling of the classified documents.
FYI, U.S. House Representative Jasmine Crockett did not actually initiate any personal attacks, which are referred to as "engaging in personalities". What ACTUALLY happened is that during this rescheduled hearing Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene violated the Rules of The House multiple times by personally, and directly insulting other members of the House, i.e. Representatives: Jasmine Crockett, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and then motions were made to "strike down Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene's words".
What is supposed to happen after a member breaks decorum by personally insulting another Member of The House, is that they are sanctioned by having their words stricken from the record, and they are supposed to no longer speak to the floor during the current session. But when Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, went back on his agreement to hold Marjorie Taylor Greene accountable for her actions, then and only then did Rep Jasmine Crocket 'Clap Back' masterfully by presenting, with poetic precision, the alliterative phrase, "Bleach-Blond, Bad Built, Butch Body-yadi-yadi". 🤣
Representative Crockett delivered this riposte, within the frame of an inquiry, containing a hypothetical postulation, to Chairman James Comer, in order to obtain clarification regarding why he was not holding Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene accountable for her actions. She was not speaking directly to Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, and did not even mention her name. Representative Jasmine Crockett was simply making the valid point that if Chairman James Comer is going to allow Marjorie Taylor Greene to repeatedly violate this rule of The House without any repercussions, then what exactly is the purpose of having the rule, to begin with? And also, who exactly does the rule apply to, and under what circumstances?
The Republicans ACTUALLY set ALL of this in motion by scheduling a 'daytime' hearing to try to throw United States Attorney General Merrick Garland in jail by holding him in Contempt of Congress because even though he has provided redacted transcripts relating to President Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur regarding 'alleged mishandling of classified documents'; Merrick Garland has NOT provided the audio recordings of the interview. But this is due to long-standing DOJ policy though, as certain records are shielded from public disclosure to prevent an antagonistic climate towards voluntary cooperation with the DOJ in the course of its investigations.
The Republicans then rescheduled this hearing at nighttime so some of their members could get dressed up like Donald Trump in dark suits, and red ties, and then instead go to his 'alleged' falsification of business records, and campaign finance violations, AKA "Hush Money" trial in New York City to effectively be surrogates in assisting Donald Trump to once again, violate a gag order that the trial judge Juan Merchan put in place for him. Donald Trump had, already by himself, violated this court order 10 times previously, without the repercussion of imprisonment!
