The fact that these battle suits can be taken away and used by other bakugan is a hilariously stupid oversight on Spectra's part. He had battle gear that was protected from that flaw due to requiring specific DNA pattern, and he threw that away.
Probably saved on time since I imagine hard coding them to DNA would make them more situational as well as harder to produce
I dont think he threw it away he probaly still has it just didnt use it in the last season(unless we count bakunano wich is a type of battlegear)

@@furstlevinidas6489 in terms of the anime I agree. The reboot is more directed towards kids. Though it’s tcg is a lot more balanced than the legacy series. I love the og bakugan more the reboot but it really suffered from so many powercreep gimmicks that made its tcg a mess and lacked depth. It kinda lost its core meaning in Mechtanium Surge imo.
FR, now I know why I was so put off from the series at this point when I was a kid. It's like 10x worse than Gundalian Invaders in terms of added-on plastic shit. Battle Suits, Mechtogan, Mechtogan Titans, Mechtogan Combiners, Dragonoid Destroyer, Mechtavius Destroyer, BakuMutants, Bakufusions, Bakunano, Mobile Assaults, Bakugan Traps again for some reason. None of them were in the slightest bit convenient to carry around, and most didn't even look that good. Battle Gear at the very least managed to cover both fronts, that's why many veteran fans like them so much more.
@@Gatlinggunman the only good plastic support pieces in bakugan were battle gear, bakugan traps and special evolution bakugan in my opinion. the rebooted version of bakugan had only a good tcg but i couldnt bring myself to watch the show, it was just PAIN!

This show went from a card game/pokemon like monster collecting with tiny toy balls into a mech anime

It was because the brawlers didn’t have a Darkus type Bakugan on the team. So they changed him to make the final element.

@thatrandombungeegumdude7683 I mean Bakugan, as revealed in New Vestroia, is capable of evolving from outside forces, so who's to say if Alice was brought back as the final Brawler, Hydronoid wouldn't have evolved through Drago sharing his powers with him.
Hell Hydranoid was already capable of evolving not just by battle experience, but by feeding on the energy of the Bakugan he sent to the Doom Dimension in the past. So he should be able to evolve via Drago sharing his powers with him to bring him to the level of the power creep.

But..now i see why was so difficult to play ;-; i hope the new series doesn't overload the game..
Luckily it hasn't as most of the support pieces are optional you only required the cards with the only exception being the Geogans which are the spiritual successor of traps and you don't really need them to use unless you want them which is nice

Those battle suits were in my school vr game as enemy units teamed up with mechtanius destroyer who at the time is supercharged by a relic called the dreadius nightmare core and that thing is dangerous and the core matches dragons destroyer core

I sware mechtanium Surge had so many gimmiks they actually overlap.
So within the same series we have suits, fusion, unite, that thing where they stay as two but merge powers.
Then there's baku nano's which are kinda just battlegear but less cool?
I think there's more gimmiks in season 4 than every other combined.
As someone that enjoyed these gimmicks unlike you old fashioned haters, it's impossible for me to take the Bakugan fandom seriously.

They could have just brought back battle gear instead of bakunanos, they are very similar and .... like where did the battle gear go?
Battle suits and moble assault vehicles are also very similar
and there are 3 types of almost identical fusion things... these could all be one.
Why did all of these get made? Toy sales... that's basically it, every 'new' gimmick is a new toy you can sell. Same for mechagon... and titans (used like 3 times?) and then destroyers... where only 1 exists but they already know about them?
Season 4 is where the gimmicks designed to sell toys actively got in the way of the story, instead of the story itself being used to hype up people which then would buy things later (like battlegear), it's a shift that most people watching at the time definitely noticed (myself included even as a teenager)
Something realy jarring about all of them was they seemingly need no explanation to the characters.... like Battlegear was given about 10-15 episodes of build up and explanation. But then, battle suits get introduced as 'you're sending me a new baku-suit'.... implying they have always been a thing??
Using a season 4 gimmik done well, mechagon, they are mysterious and built up for the entire season, titans are a bit weird but the initial concept is quite solid

@@kinnikuman-devilman_fan_2002 I got into bakugan as a game.... because of the show... and I lost interest as I grew up... in part because of the 2nd half of season 4 and the constant updates to the game that came with it.
It's fine to both enjoy something and also think there's some stuff that could have been better.

I’m not going to lie to y’all I tapped out from Bakugan when they started doing all this but it really began halfway through the battle gear era i just felt like it was too much
Too bad so sad, I already enjoyed Mechtogan and Battle Suits unlike you losers who had nothing to do but hate everything that doesn't do with the TCG in your lives lol.
I don't blame you for dropping the series. Contrary to what many comments and that ignorant reply you got says, Mechtanium Surge is known as the lowest point of the original Bakugan series. That's not me saying it. You can see it on regular reviews and video reviews. Some of the reasons are exactly what you listed.
I even watched Mechatium Surge, and I barely remember anything from it. Why? Because it didn't leave any heavy impact like the first two seasons did. Heck, I remember more from Gundalian Invaders than Mechtanium Surge.
Gate cards and power levels became pointless, the main villains gradually became uninteresting, and the mech gimmicks became too much. I still enjoyed Battle Gears simply because of their buildup and former originality.
Regardless, there's nothing wrong with your comment. Not everyone is gonna agree on the same thing with Bakugan.

These are the only mechanics in bakugan that I don't like. They should have continued with battle gears or bakunano.
Gen 2 did some things better than Gen 1. For example the gimmick of the season.
In gen 2 season 2, the gimmick was Bakugear and fusion. Both got a decent amount of screen time.
In season 2 gen 1, there were Bakugan Traps and Battle gear. But battle gear kind of left Traps in the dust.
@@hunterthejokethegamerandst5567 Gen 2 simplified its mechanics and action quite a bit. Limited abilities, fast fatigue, gear and fusions for one battle only. No 2in3, 3in5, 4in7 battles. And all abilities are strafing and direct fire. Bakugan characters that are on the edge with 25-50B and finally get the upper hand to have the WoW effect.

Call me crazy but imo as a Mecha enthusiast, like the Mechtogan and Baku Gear, the Battle Suits are probably my favorite part about this lol.
