Special skills are nice, but the most important thing for any streamer is probably the ability to keep up the funny banter with each other and chat, and Miko is unironically elite at that.
And that's what the jp and id girls are very good at. I think hololive realized that, thus giving us advent. Advent felt like they are a jp group, because of how comfortable they are with banters even with their senpais and how good they are at improv.
Yeah ofc but Hololive is not an streamers agency, is a talents management agency which includes streamers/entertainers so overall being a very good streamer isn't enough for Holo. That being said, Miko is an amazing entertainer and like other JP like Pekora or Korone, she has a natural ability to create Incredible entertaining moments out of anything😌

its true, that's probably the hardest skill to have esp if you're an introvert/socially awkward. I remember someone asked a streamer once if they had any tips and all the technical stuff is useful but the most important thing was like try just recording yourself talking for 5 minutes straight and listen to it back. No matter how hard you cringe, that's what you are selling people. If you hate your voice or insecure about it, it'll be the longest speech you've ever made and the longest speech you've ever had to sit through

After all they remember the ease with which they got into Hololive, they remember how they struggled with double digit ccvs, they remember their scuffed, amateurish debuts. Compare that to the frankly absurdly overqualified entrants coming in 2023-2024.
What they need to realise is that they're the _reason_ new Holomems need to be overqualified, it's the only way new gens can make their own mark and keep up with the legends who paved the way. Miko in particular is one of the greatest influences on vtubing being as popular as it is today, not just Hololive, but the _entire_ industry. Between her and many of the other early popular vtubers, they laid the very foundation of what a vtuber _is_ today.
Having a constant 30k++ viewers everytime she stream does shows how adored she are by the community. She's a natural born entertainer.
I want to let Miko know that she is one among best vtubers for so long. Miko doesn't need singing skill to made to the top cuz she full of talents on other fields such as entertainer, comedian and just *BEING HERSELF*. She is irreplaceable.

Miko is one of those people who makes everything entertaining just by being present. It's impossible to learn such skill and it's very clear when people try too hard to achieve that. It's like what Subaru said. If she auditioned for Hololive now, will she even be accepted. Miko and early gens of Hololive may not have a lot of talent/skills compared to the new talents, but they sure did give us a lot of viral funny moments and wholesome moments. We also saw the struggles and hard work they did to get Hololive to where it is now. No talent nor skill can ever replace those golden moments in Hololive.
The company and its direction has also changed. We need to remember that Holo isn't looking for the same everywhere, they are filling in gaps/niches that the others aren't filling.
At that time VTubers is more like pastime job or hobbies.

I read a comment about how talents like Miko are feeling... Basically the early Holos feel like being R-rarity characters in a gacha that had been buffed and heavy builded across many years to be the way they are now, but they see now SSR characters being OP at debut... Even if they dont fall behind at all, they still cant help but compare the new girls to their own debut.
If Arknights has taught me anything it's that every operator no matter what rarity has a place and a niche(power creep be damned). All the Hololive girls have a place in people's hearts and they don't need OP skills to be loved and appreciated.

As someone who has just recently been interested in vtubers a few days ago, I'll have to say this.
Not giving up, working hard, and finding ways to resonate with other members and capture the audience are also talents. And not everyone has that, but Miko has these qualities. That's the reason that she has come this far and has a lot of fans.

I got her point but she is genuinely one of the best entertainers in Hololive. That's a skill. And she also took a big part in paving the way for these new amazing talents.
Miko has the most important skills of all for someone in her position: The charisma and instincts of a natural entertainer. When you have that, anything else is just a bonus.
Miko, the fact that you never fail to make me smile or laugh every time I open up your stream is something truly special. She might not realize it, but she has a knack for entertainment. Plus the appeal and the charisma. It all makes for something irreplaceable even in this ever-growing roster of talents.

As a hololive fan i've watched almost all of them except for holostars. From their antics and shenanigans as well as their skills and talents too but i enjoy most when watching Mikochi
Holostars has some good shit. the EN branch in particular recently put out a 3d debut collab stream involving pole dancing
Just start with one or two and I guarantee you , you'll also get hooked with Holostars. Start with Roberu clips, especially his collabs with Mea, who's good friends with Aqua. Their collab name is RoberuNightMea and you'll find a lot of translated clips of them because they are so funny together. Then from there you'll definitely be recommended clips of him with several female vtubers all claiming to have done it with him and that's why we call him the Winning Son of HoloPro. You can also start with Aruran and his most popular streams which are the GTA VCR collabs where he formed the Pizza Gang with members from Hololive (Ao, Ririka), Nijisanji (Meloco, Reimu), NeoPorte (Aria), and indies (Tooko, Dtto, Maitake). Unless you're one of those unicorns, just check them out.

Its funny cause shes probably right as in shes not a god singer or god artist or anything, but shes so entertaining that her along with the early gens propped up the whole company while struggling through the scuffed early days of hololive so that these new people with these talents have a chance to show their skills.

I can think the of 5 things that MIko-chi has a really talent for...
#1 Honesty: She always speaks her mind even though she's a bit shy, she still try to say what's on her mind,
#2 Acceptance: She never hates people or wishes harm, she accepts all people equally and finds the best in all things even if she loses she's never bitter about it..
#3 Comedian: She is so dang hilarious. enough said. ^_^
#4 Kindness: Miko-chi may have a mischievous side, but she is very caring and helpful to the people around her. And really does love her viewers.
#5 ELITE!: Which means she never gives up... Which is true ELITE behavior.. And I really respect that. She may work too hard actually Hahaha! ^_^

I hope Miko and the older JP members recognize how much the fans and even their kouhais respect the hell out of them for showing what’s possible in this industry, that even if new talents are more skilled or have diversified their ability, that Gen 0 aren’t able to contest of feel left behind. If anything, the JP earlier generations should be allowed to re-debut, to show off how much they’ve changed or developed since those rough, experimental days. I’ll even extend that invitation to Myth, since they are all very different people now, but have re-examined who they thought they were supposed to be. (Also, just to unify current lore, recontexualize the whole JP-ID-EN connection as a sort of soft reboot)

There are 3 main types of Holomems, idols who are great at singing and/or dancing, gamers who are great at games and/or grinding, and entertainers who are great at coming up with content.
Miko is a top tier entertainer and is able to make hilarious stuff out of games and collabs, Pekora is also an entertainer type. Singers would be Suisei and Elizabeth, gamers would be Kaela and Aqua. Of course they are not just stuck to a single aspect, all of them can sing, play games and entertain, but there's usually one aspect they are the strongest at.
In the past there was a classification between cute, cool and passion.
All members need to have these 3 skills and also be capable of change at any time for collabs to be balanced. This also means being capable to demostrate their cute, cool and passionate side is a must, since it's always different for each person.
