    Really really cute!!!! Your little bucket is the perfect size so that you could actually make a flower design where it truly looks like flowers. OR you can make diamonds.+ more. if you do a RUclips search for water marble on nails. You'll get really inspired! One lady in particular she is the queen of marbling she has "water marble March" so the past six or so years the month of March all she does is water marbles and create GORGEOUS designs! I used to do this a lot on my own nails. Nails and cups are curved. Can definitely be achieved cups too. Especially with the size of your small bucket!!!😘

      @@Luxinda Well you're more than welcome. Are you going to check it out? It would actually be so much easier on a Tumblr because it's bigger. As a example learn how to do a flower design on your cup? It's really SO EASY much more than you'd think.. if you can run a skinny skewr thru paint. And we know you can because you did it on these cups. The only difference is you're making an actual design.Again so EASY.. I love the pastel colors you use..with the white background.It really makes the colors pop.. This is the best way to achieve that on nails too ...I would just love to see it done on one of your wine cups.. you would be the only Tumblr maker to do this one-of-a-kind original design if you will. Thanks, I look forward to seeing it...I hope you give it a go at least.. I think you would absolutely fall in love with this technique ..✌😘

    • @ssue4q
      @ssue4q 2 года назад

      Oh I just want to add. If you are indeed willing to try? It does take a little practice. You just use regular tap water @ room temperature. But you don't want to be wasting paint and expensive tumblers. I would say practice on your nails but they're not long enough to see the design. You could TRY paper I never HAD much luck with that.. but whatever you try it on you HAVE to have the WHITE base coat.. like with fingernails it will NOT show up at all without the white base coat.. it's just one of those weird Oddities. If you have some nail pops laying around that would be your BEST practice tool.. in case you don't know LOL they're fake clear very long different styles like coffin Etc and they're glued to like a stick so they're very easy to dip into the water. In this case you would just use a small cup NOT tiny..But like 8 or 12 o/z. But a little wider around than the normal 8/12 oz cup. And yeah it does take practice but once you get it down. Oh my gosh you won't want to stop doing them! I got to thinking this is a very important to tell her about so she's not wasting expensive tumblers Because ANYBODY has to practice this a bit they just can't do it the first tries.. okay I'll quit rambling I really do hope you try it. Like I said paper just did not work out for me that was not a good practice tool. Her RUclips name: "My simple little pleasures" in her playlist you'll find all of her Water Marble March videos.. I would go back to one of the oldest years. So that you get the step-by-step directions. I don't think she does that in her newer years AS much..Rainbow Miracle is a great example of her flower designs there's a lot of designs I just like flowers the best you might like something else better. Although I don't know if that's a good pick.. that might confuse you. Because that particular video she's doing decals instead of directly on her nails. So I rather have you look at one where she's doing it directly on the fingernail not making a decal to put on the fingernail. Okay I will shut up good luck

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  2 года назад

      Oh, ok, I’m sorry, I misunderstand your question. I did not seal these with anything before applying resin. I don’t think the marbling paints are oil-based. I think they’re acrylic. So I let the cups sit and dry for 24 hours then I applied a coat of epoxy resin over each one. A polyurethane varnish might work, but I’ve never tried it. There’s a spray varnish called Kamar by Krylon that is supposed to work on anything that might run (like a watercolor painting). Something like that might work.

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  2 года назад

      Thank you!! That would probably work great, like how I ended up finally getting the Brusho crystals on a tumbler 🤔😁 The only issue I can imagine is if the water warps the vinyl a lot, but it should be reversible by letting it dry then stacking weight on it to fully flatten. Maybe I’ll give it a try - thank you for the idea! 😊

    Will the paint stay on after washing?

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  Год назад

      Yes, it should because in this case, there’s a layer of epoxy resin covering the entire tumbler. If you don’t want to deal with resin, you’ll need to paint or spray on some other form of varnish and that should also protect it from washing. However, it probably won’t survive in a dishwasher.

    • @Luxinda

    So it seems that the bits that already pick up the paint when additional paint washes over it, the topmost layer doesn't stick?

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  Месяц назад

      I’m not sure I understand the question. Once the cup is dipped and still underwater, I use my free hand to swish the remaining floating paint aside so it doesn’t have a chance to touch the cup and potentially ruin the design as the cup is pulled up out of the water. Does that answer your question?

    • @Luxinda

    How can you clean the paint off if you do not like the design at all?

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  Месяц назад

      There are a couple ways. One is to use acetone (nail polish remover), which will dissolve the paint and then you can wipe it off (but this is very messy). The easiest way is to let the bad dip dry, then spray paint the entire cup white (or any other color) and once that’s dry, dip the cup again.

    Good afternoon, I need help, I'm trying to make a swirl or also known as marbeling, I've made great advances, I'm a luthier I would like to paint my guitars by immersion in water, I'll report my advances to simplify
    1-) water density: I have already achieved a good density with the following products: CMC, carrageenan and emulsifier (nestle)
    2: Paints: I managed to make the paints float and make drawings under these solutions already listed in the previous item, I have already used the following paints, food dyes, water-based paints, acrylic paints and special paints from the pebeo brand made for marbling
    3-) I can transfer my drawings perfectly to plain paper or potassium sulfate treated paper,
    4-) I need to make this happen on guitars that I have to apply a sealant base, I was told to use the white spray from the brand rust oleum ultracover 2x, I apply it on the wood, however unfortunately, every time I do the immersion in any of the paints the drawings are destroyed and run down the body of the guitar, they just don't stick.
    Please, I need to know which product to apply under the wood after I have applied the rust oleum base so that the designs remain on the guitar.

    • @Luxinda
      @Luxinda  2 года назад +1

      Oh my, now I see why you’re getting frustrated. The thing is, I’m not really sure how to help. I’ve never done any marbling on anything other than paper or the three resin wine glasses in this one video. And on these wine glasses, the colors ran! It didn’t bother me, but it’s not going to behave the way that will keep your art intact.
      The only thing I can think of is a different kind of marbling completely. The design is actually printed onto film; the film is floated in water then sprayed with a chemical that dissolves the film but leaves the design perfectly floating on the water. And it can be picked up by dipping anything into it.
      Let me see if I can find you a link. I don’t know if it will help you, but it’s all I can think of…
