I'm struck by how respectful and polite the fans are, especially when you compare them to American crowds.

nice to see a challenging course with no silly -28 under par after 4 rounds (looking ahead) of golf, even the best are struggling.
7:13 ".... went a little bit off his left..."... gets a fortuitous bounce off the edge of a bunker... spectators and commentator be 'Oooo', in unison. 😂 So British... love it!
Great putting highlights... 😆 Times are tough I know... little fairway cameras. Sad
Pity it’s not on the BBC for all to see. Restricted viewing must have an overall impact on the uptake of the game.

Rory and his caddie need a reality check and they got it.Using a driver in today's conditions dumb.Sensible players used driving irons.you gotta play for position on Troon.fairways,no bunkers,low ballflights,5/7 irons bump & run from 150-170 out havin played there many times. Hope Lowry or Bob M win❤

Tell us how it went for him?And at the us open, rory got 2nd,what about cameron?Rory shot 7 over,some of the world's best players are up there also, hovland, Bryson (straight out a major win, 5 over!),dj,Rahm, matsuiama,SMITH AT NINE OVER, morikawa,Tommy, zalatoris..All of them got their ax handed to them but rory's name is the only one being pulled constantly in this things..wonder why,maybe because he's not a one hit wonder, Cameron Smith did GREAT taking the money after fluking 30 one putts that he knew wouldn't happen again till his death, hasn't won a participation ribbon since!
Rory McIlroy got himself close to 40 professional wins and 4 MAJORS wich is more than groups of 5 of the best players in the world combined and over 600 million dollars in his career, he'll be fine

To be clear announcers , Tiger has earned his spot at the open.
But many of us don't care to see him play and shoot +8. We would much rather see someone new with potential.
Next year it would be much better if they pay for a professional camera crew that can follow a ball in flight.
The lady commentator during the featured group of Woods et al. was so negative towards Woods that I had to turn off the volume.
The lady should understand that having Tiger on the course is an inspiration to all, even if he is not in perfect physical condition. We all spectators love to see him on the course.
Tiger has changed the world golf environment. He has brought respect to all who want to play golf irrespective of the colour of their skin, poor background, and making golf accessible to all.

The reason they are all missing the green on the right at the postage stamp is because the grandstand shelters the tee. The minute the ball goes above the stands the wind just pushes it down the right. I can’t believe so many pro golfers are getting fooled.

This year proves once again why I don’t put the Open as the number one major. Too much of it comes down to luck. The guys that went late early the first two days have a huge advantage over the rest of the field.

The Open Championship is definitely dominated by European players.
Yet five Americans and an Australian won in the last 10 Open Championships played.
@@goldkillah1576and the ryder cup is dominated by the Europeans.... And in relation to the number of players, their Europeans dominate the podiums on the PGA tour.... But no doubt, there are talented players also from the USA, with enough experience to win the open.
