This is an SG Supreme Bass, that maple top is a dead giveaway. They also came in a finish that looked like an old car paint job with the flames coming out from under the hood.
The brightness in tone may be more than the maple top. The Gibson SG neck/bass pickup is not the loved/hated mudbucker pickup from the original Gibson EB0/EB3 basses. It was designed to be brighter with more clarity. The current Epiphone EB0/EB3 is actually closer to the original. BTW love the new Thumpin' Thursday line-up. I hear what Greg hears & I am a bass player.
I am assuming that the basses normally go thru the SVT, but it would be nice to know. Also interested to know what pedals Greg is stepping on. Great bass, thanks for sharing it with us!
True-actually a “Sidewinder” pickup similar to a SUPRO pickup but with two sideways coils on either side of the misleading single pole pieces, strange pickup indeed…
Son unos YOURGIRLS.Uno de los mejores conciertos ❤️ Son unos de los mejores conciertos, no puede ir pero de tan solo verlos desde pantalla 4, se que estuvog sorprendente...
Thanks to all at Norman's for the GOTD episodes - really appreciate all the fine axes - wish I could afford one ;)

This dude a is a MONSTER -= love Thursdays with Greg!
Being a bass player, I appreciate the bass content. Great old bass, thanks Greg!
It's always good to see Greg jam, great bass too, sweet...
Great sounding bass ! Good to see Greg. Just kick ass!
Greg's on fire, celebrating Iggy's birthday in style!!!
This guy killed it
Through my android I'm picking up Stanley Clark Tone's. Notes are clear and cutting, very distinct and not lost in the background
What always sells me on a bass is if it's conducive to slapping. The Thunderbird is good for that. Thos one probably is too.
Have you ever had a Gibson EB3 bass? I saw and tried one years ago. It must have been a 1970s model.
👍 Summer of our Love really cool Greg
Love it! Awesome job, Greg? Why is it I can never find the basses on the website???? I really was interested.
Check their reverb shop too.
@@joermnyc I didn't know anything about that. I will check. Thank you!
Thumpin indeed!

I think it's a boost or an EQ. Just by the sound.
That thing looks cool AF
Very nice but I’m guessing it’s sold already? Great demo Greg
If you get another one I’m interested
Wow, it’s almost like you got chocolate on my peanut butter! Thanks Greg!
Ya what pedals r u going through
Did Greg play bass on Lemmo's new album ?
I played on the (mostly live)LEMMO DEMO II
@@gregcoates4281 Thanks Greg you did an awesome job, love the videos, cheers
***sorry TRAPEZOID inlays,needed coffee 😵💫😵💫😵💫
don't worry Greg someday they will let you go solo and you'll have the spot light,
Pretty cool. What’s the price for something like that?
Remember mark agnesi? Neither do I!
Is that a short or medium scale length?
Short scale
We ❤ Thumpin Thursdays!!!
FLOCK OF SEAGULLS DOES IGGY AGAIN!
Yeah we usually do three or four episodes when I come down
Greg forgets about the demo and just plays!
👌✌
Not a neck single coil.

Sounds like it wants to play "Fat Albert!" 👍🏻
Those are trapezoid inlays Greg, but you're a great bassist, so I'll forgive you. Ha ha.
Can’t remember what I called them 😆
Occasional brain farts occur
You don't know wtf! "mini humbucker single coil" What are you saying?! And 30.5" scale not 30. Do the research, slow down and think!
Not single-coils, my dude. 🙏🏼

Give me a fender p bass more bottom more blunt and can get a warm sound .the workhorse of basses.
More bottom, than a Mudbucker pickup shoved towards the neck? You're joking right?
this instrument in your hands it becomes the bass of jake bruce himself, very very good :)
