When some guys shout nigeria , nigeria, they dont actually mean nigeria as a nation, but a certain tribe that claims ownership of nigeria while other tribes are conquered territory.
When they shout "listen to Nigerians , they actually mean ..."allow us to detect for you on what you must do,"....not necessarily good governance.
    We cannot continue like this.

I am sorry to comment that the Governor is actually portraying himself as a crying baby before the nation. When he was contesting to be the governor of the state he made promises to the people. He never cited the Federal Government as the source of survival for the state. Therefore my question to the governor is what has he put in place for internal revenue generation for the state? If as Governor as a governor he makes it a point to travel out of the country he will have an idea of how the central and subnational government operate. You will never see a governor in the United States, a system of government Nigeria copied from openly condemning the polices put up by the Federal Government. The Governor attends the NEC meetings which serves as a forum for minds meeting and if decisions are collectively made in these meetings before made public, the Governor should be ashamed of himself for not speaking his mind of what he does not agree with. The so much disputed VAT is equivalent of sales tax outside Nigeria and each state determines what sales tax to charge on activities in the state. The state remits the percentage meant for Federal government to the Treasury department. Property tax is inevitable as long as you own a home and the revenue from it has nothing to do with the Federal Government. Some of the governors in Nigeria are just not being creative and the guest on this program seems to be one of them because he believes his state can only survive based on the derivation from the Federal Government. My honest suggestion is for any state that is able to survive due to any form of disadvantage should seek merger with a neighboring state in a better situation. No state deserve special treatment because of any kind of disadvantages. This appears to be the basis of the governor's argument which is sad. The tax reform bill under consideration favors the poor and it is supposed to create the spirit of competition in development between the states. Governors regardless of party affiliation have direct contact with the president and the presidency, therefore the public media should not be the link to the president and the presidency.

BAT is bringing criminal changes. BAT joined others to fight GEJ in 2012 not to remove just some percentages of subsidy but he removed 100 percent subsidy on his first day in office; violating the constitution: what has changed to warrant this in a country of almost now 90 percent poor people. There is the need to fight BAT arrogance to a standstill.

This Governor is a big joker. What are your specific issues you have with the tax reform. Which Section of the tax bills are you not comfortable with.
The governors should learn to live within your income.
The tax bills are for the country and not for Bauchi State alone.
As far as I am concerned, the governor is not well informed. He is so ignorant. He doesn't want to pay tax & at the same time he wants infrastructure development.
In summary, the governor basically doesn't know his job description. He has no say in fiscal policy at the federal level.
The national assembly has responsibility to enact the law. End of discussion.

Most of them have made public statements in support and called for their passage by the national assembly. So who should the President listen to? The few that are agaist it or the mosy6thay are in support? And what does it entail for the president to 'listen' to the people? Are you saying the president should remove the bill that has most Nigerians supports to please the few who are agaist it? The journey is just about have. A lot of positive things can still happen through this administration before 2027. So it is too early to draw 'a conclusion on how to deal with him'.

He was voted as the 3rd most currupt president in Africa. That says a lot about the character of Tinubu. If Nigeria had a good journalism. Nigerian journalists would have carried out an investigation to determine how much Tinubu was worth, before he became the governor of Lagos state for 8 years. Per Google, Tinubu is the richest Nigerian politician and he's worth billions of U.S. dollars. By the time he leaves office, he's probably going to be worth trillions of dollars. I'm sure most of his wealth is probably stashed in shell accounts and in some foreign banks. The whole system in Nigeria is based on corruption.
