And I also wonder how much of the money went into the poltician's friend's pocket :D In China, it's just happen with a flick on the finger - If you don't give up the land, you will be force to give up the land in the end with different 'dirty' methods. And there is little care about environmental impact😉 But no Doubt, China control majority of the rare earth resources in the world - which makes things dirt cheap. It is one thing the West cannot beat.

What is also correct is that in usa and west have strong laws to defend a civilians property, so the government can't just use your land or destroy your home for a project. Labour costs are also significantly higher, safety is the most important thing considered. These all add up cost, but most of all there is a lot of corruption on the government level, involving contracts. Im not saying china is better or worse. Im saying they are very efficient. So for the OP to call ot CCP propaganda is incorrect
