It amazes me folks who are blessed with a harvest complain when what they get isnt enough. Its truly a blessing to get what you got, i would be so happy.
You can also eat the green ones they apply only to potatoes. Potatoes are related to night shade family and you cannot eat the green parts but sweet potatoes belong to the Morning Glory family and you can eat the green part.
Your container potatoes fared so much better than the in-ground. Darn voles are also ruining my flower garden. Yes, just cut off below the green on those white sweet potatoes. Nice harvest David.
hi david its me again😁,ive just watched all your sweet potato video again and im really looking forward to this years videos but was wondering how you cure your sweet potatoes and if possible could yopu do a video showing how you do it
Deer ruined my sweet potatoes, and voles ate them and my Egyptian walking onions up here 45 minutes north of you. I'm buying 7.5' fencing and also just now fabric grow bags. I'm hoping voles won't chew through them! I have eight 17 gal tubs for potatoes and sweet potatoes
This is the first year I have noticed critters digging down to the potatoes to eat them. I think that is squirrels. Seems to be way too many squirrels this year. So many wooded areas around me have been destroyed for these lousy 3-4 story apartment complexes. I think that has the squirrels bunching up and really hungry.
hi,ive watched a few of your sweet potato videos and was wondering if you add fertilizer while they are growing or do you just add some to your pots when you start planting out
I try every 3 weeks or so to give the plants a good fish emulsion or earthworm casting tea fertilizer. If the containers settle some I will top them off with fresh compost.
I grew sweet potato for first time this year. A lot of the potato have little holes like bug bites at the end of them... Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it next year? Thanks
I think either squirrels or possums ate the sweet potatoes down from the top. We have not had as many foxes around this year and no coyotes at all. Results, gillians of squirrels digging up everything.
Yes you can eat the whole sweet potato even though there are some greening parts exposed to sunlight because it is not poisonous not the same as the real potatos where the green parts are exposed to sunlight it will make you feel uncomfortable even death.

I wish more people had the habit of growing at least part of the food they consume. we would be much healthier. have a great day.

The small ones and critter damaged ones still make great dog treats. Cure em, slice em and bake em up!

Sweet potato isn't technically a potato so the green is good to eat
Something ate the bigabers out of those
