Check out Ningen Isu and Onmyo-Za. Ningen Isu is somewhat hot these days on RUclips. If you want an all-female Japanese metal band that is a bit more extreme, check out Galmet. For more straight ahead rock, one of my new favorites is Girls Rock Band Kakumei. Their drummer is incredible but a bit nutty. For instrumental metal, check out D-Drive and Asterism who were 'discovered' by Bootsy Collins. Asterism is another one of my favorites because their guitar player is the 16 year old phenom Hal-ca. Of course, there is the utter chaos that is Gacharic Spin. A band that can sound like J-Pop, metal and funk in the same song. One of the best live bands to watch.
If you like the dual guitar solo and don't mind Japanese all-male band, I recommend Versailles - Faith & Decision: ruclips.net/video/0_iRWVMM8-I/видео.html
Great reaction guys now try the smooth and wicked We Are (ruclips.net/video/sfkJT0rra-8/видео.html) to really appreciate this great female metal band!!! There are so many great female metal players out of the Rising Sun that it is just awesome to observe , Band Maid, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear, Scandal, Exist†trace, Doll$Boxx, Destrose, Gacharic Spin, Cyntia, Bridear, and Lovebites just to name a few of what the Japanese scene has to offer. Beware this rabbit hole is long and deep so jump in but it is a long way down!!!!
This is a pretty good song by them also, it's from there 2013 LP District Zero, which is also when I started following them, it's hard to believe it's been 6 yrs. Anyway the song is Cherry Blossoms at Night it was written by Toki the guitar player on the left it was the second song she wrote for the band and it's the one song they play every year when they tour ruclips.net/video/Czx0su8Kt5Y/видео.html this is from last years tour, if you want to check it out.
Unfortunately, Re:No, the singer, retired recently due to an inner ear issue. Marina, the drummer, was the step-daughter of Terri Bozzio of Missing Persons and other bands. Her kit is set up with three bass drums just like his kit. Dual harmonizing guitars, try canadians, Unleash the Archers Awakening. Try Billy Strings (Turmoil and Tinfoil) or Molly Tuttle for modern blue grass, incredible players
Not "was" but "is" his step-daughter... another tidbit of info, Toki (guitarist with the pink guitar) also left the band, from what I understand, because she got married and to have a baby... I think....???
@@cholatse6745 That is what I meant, maternity leave basically, sorry for any confusion.. I noticed on twitter they have a new girl on vocals, R! N. She was the guest vocals for their current one-man tour?
I didn't see that anyone else has mentioned this, but the lead singer in this video, Re:NO, is no longer with the band. She had an inner ear, eustacian tube disorder that makes everything she says sound like an echo in her head, sort of like how it sounds when your ears are stopped up, but all the time. She spent a good part of a year trying to get it treated and singing through it, but it got too frustrating and difficult for her. It's a syndrome that is not necessarily treatable, unfortunately.
Now that you mentioned it, I do hear hints of Hynde in there. If you remember the Pretenders, you might remember Missing Persons. The drummer, Marina, is the step daughter of Terry Bozzio, of MP, Frank Zappa and Korn fame. She also uses a 3 kick drum set up, !ike her dad.
Glad you loved them guys. Really happy you reacted to them, it´s awesome that you take the time to read the suggestions from everyone, I think like others already mentioned the next step from them, "We Are", "Sweet Temptation" and "Monster" are others songs from Aldious you guys should react to. I also suggest Unlucky Morpheus, a Japanese metal band, which uses Violin as an added element, and is going to blow you away as well. Brian, dual guitar solos included on this one too, I got your back brother :) Unlucky Morpheus, Black Pentagram - ruclips.net/video/V8i_QhOgsKw/видео.html My japanese music knowledge is limited to Rock, Hard Rock and all types of metal. I unfortunately don´t know any rap musicians from there or country singers as well, but knowing the diversity of their music scenes, I wouldn´t be surprised if they do exist. Hopefully someone else will help you guys with that. I would also leave another request in the upcoming videos... Don´t want to put it all out at once. Great job guys, love your videos and how open minded you are.
Aldious and Destrose are considered to be pioneers of the whole female rock and metal scene in Japan. You guys should check out Fate Gear. The lead guitarist is Mina and apparently has rights to all of Destrose songs. Just released on video is one called "Megabullets". You will enjoy it guaranteed. ruclips.net/video/x--sGzoAzrA/видео.html
Resistance by Lightbringer. They may have disbanded already but Fuki, the bands vocalist, may just the greatest voice in Japanese Metal. Try her other current projects like Doll$boxx and Unlucky Morpheus.
Here's one old geezer who got your Chrissie Hynde reference. She was one of the original rock/metal goddesses, along with Debra Harry, Patty Smith, Joan Jett and the Wilson sisters. Maybe a couple more, but for some reason America just dropped out of the scene. Japan, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe have completely taken over when it comes to women playing face-melting rock and metal. Our loss.
Well, it's not so much to introduce them to Visual Kei in general but more about the Versailles sound. Wish more actual bands adopted the style, however it's impressive to see guitarists how do metal covers of the era that Versailles composition takes ques from as well :)
Hey B and S. Please react to Mary's Blood: Marionette music video. Saki, the guitarist is an absolute shredder! Thanks! ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html
If you really like fast technical metal then try "Unlucky Morpheus- Black Pentagram" who may also have the best female metal singer. They also have a member with an instrament you would not expect in a metal band.
ok you guys like BabyMetal now right ….? I told you before about a cool double lead song .. that is a masterpiece .. definitely one of Babymetals top 3 songs .. Power Ballad > No Rain No Rainbow . live at Budokan or Legend XX LIVE @ Hiroshima your still missing one of the most epic babymetal songs that put them on the map if haven't seen that yet .. what are you waiting for …?
Hi guys, nice react. If you like this japanese music plesae react to: - Unlucky Morpheus: cadaver/redevac or Knight of sword - Galneryus: Destiny, raise my sword, TFFB, angel of salvation or brutal spiral of emotions. I think there are live versions - Mary's Blood: Marionette - sokoninaru: gou ni moyu or reprogram. All those bands are great.
I bet you never rocked so hard with prom dresses! (Well, I mean on RUclips...) Spot on with the Chrissie Hynde reference, I hadn't made the connection, but you're right. Frack, I guess I just acknowledged I'm an old man! Glad you noticed Sawa, the bass player. She's always smiling so much, and you can feel it's genuine, it's not a forced smile. Unfortunately, Re:NO, the singer, had to quit last December because of a health issue (something about her inner ear, IIRC). During the last few months they played tons of shows in Japan, alternating two singers in order to choose a replacement. They chose R!N, not the same voice, but a good choice. She has more range than Re:NO. Here's a recent picture with the new singer... pbs.twimg.com/media/EBRnIEdUIAAMkdi?format=jpg&name=large As a suggestion, to step out of Japan, for a moment, check out the Aussie band called _12 Foot Ninja_ . Try *One Hand Killing* (ruclips.net/video/r-v9Aeb7Pr0/видео.html), even if you don't want to react to it, check it out, they are great. Or, for a Japanese reaction, Try _Ningen Isu_ , you'll see the funkiest Uncle Fester ever... Try *Blasphemy* (ruclips.net/video/EOx-mLD9k-M/видео.html).

I saw the pretenders play star of the desert arena they're awesome!
Aldious' drummer Marina is Terri Bozzio's stepdaughter.

My recommendation, a song named "MAZE" from Destrose. Another Japanese all female metal band.
