Spicers Scenic Rim Trail Days 5 & 6 - 2021

This is the Days 5 & 6 of our 2021 Spicers Scenic Rim Trail adventure.
After a hearty breakfast served up by VIcky, we headed off to start our last day of hiking for the trip.
Today we we stopped for morning tea deep in Gondwana Rainforest and then had lunch high on the escarpment at Bare Rock.
We then passed Mt Cordeaux and got some great photos of the crazy storm coming our way. We managed to hold of the rain until the last 200m before we got to the Cunningham's Gap car park where our transport was waiting. The heavens opened up for the last 20m of walking and on the drive to our last nights accommodation at Spicers Canopy, where a complete ‘glamping’ experience was awaiting us with Sophie and Nicky waiting for us some warm hand towels and more bubbles and charcuterie boards to celebrate the end of our walking.
After a few drinks we decided to take a quick dip in the hot tub with some more bubbles........five bottles later we all quickly had showers to make it back to the main lodge for dinner and celebrate Rachel's 40th.
The next morning's sleep in in the comfy king-sized beds were welcomed by all the sore heads. Another awesome breakfast of local produce lined our stomachs for the trip back to Hidden Vale.
