My 78 Camaro was overheating alot, rad was clogged, then started seeping bad. Im all bummed because a good 3 row oversized rad is a lot of cash. I mention it at work, and this kid says I know a place...Its on the west side..(the REALLY BAD crime area) Im like no way, so later he goes with me. Best service i ever had! The brazer disassembled the ENTIRE radiator to the smallest bit. Then rebuilt it all into a 3 row with my old side housings, and all new cores etc. PERFECT! And i got to watch it all! 😍$130 total ! I tipped em $20 and send anyone i know there now.
@frosthoe , If you got a Camaro rad "re-cored" to a 3 Row for $130 total, you should have tipped him at least $50, lol. 10 years ago i had to pay $350 for the same job (3 core) on the original rad in my '73 Dart.
Good work Jason...couple things...move the fuel pipe...Im always nervous if you break a fan belt it whips around in there and can make a mess of it...also. whats the square thing in line with the fuel filter?
I think that's a fuel vapor separator. It has another port to add a fuel line, but it was never used. Also, the fuel line is absolutely getting moved from the factory location. I don't know why they put it there in the first place.
What is the square block thing you have in the fuel line between your fuel filter and the carb ? (I don't think anything is supposed to be there). I really like your slant in a Belvidere, i have 2 slants myself (both in "A" bodies.

That's awesome! I didn't have that luck...😅

It's good to see someone fixing up the old 6 cylinder..thanks for sharing
I like the 6, last year it got 21.5 mpg average for 2500 miles of Power Tour. That includes the idling getting into the venues.
Good job on the cooling system!
Thank you!
Very good info.
Glad you liked it!
I still love this car.

That's an old fuel vapor block. There's supposed to be vapor return line on the other side, but one was never added.
Great video! now to get a slant six. Oh and gaskets? What’s those for 😂
Hopefully I have to change the thermostat once. This will be the second year I've taken this rig on Power Tour.
Nice!
👍👍👍
Curious why you didn't choose to boil the old one out? Is there no one around to do that?
Time. This car had to be functional less than two weeks after this was recorded.
