Man that fucking part in fade to black at 7:31. Sounds just as good as the original with that tone. Just gave me goosebumps and shivers shot down my spine. Takes me back to discovering Ride the Lightning way back in 8th grade, and it just completely changing my life.

I own 3 eclipses. One with regular humbucking pickups, one with actives, and another with actives and a tremolo. They are amazing guitars! I feel like they are the perfect guitar and after watching your vid i feel better about that.
moron TV my most expensive is a JH Snakebyte which I hate to admit it, I like the EC1000s better because that JH sig has very limited tone and volume control. I have a truckster too which is a lot like an EC.
I hope one day they allow dual amps on the FM3. I’d sell my FM3 and IIXL+ for a III, but my IIXL+ has a large package of the most accurate Metallica presets I’ve ever heard to date. It covers every album, and almost all songs on every album, including live tones. Until someone recreates a preset package that great on the Axe Fx III, I won’t see myself getting rid of it.

damn dude same set up as i used when doing covers with my friends. matter of fact when i did a talent show i gathered my friends and said lets do some covers of metallica. this was when i was in high school and the 4 years i was there, there'd always be a talent show and before people saw that i could play guitar, people would make fun of me like crazy
I've been wanting an Axe III since they came out....by all accounts I know it's ez to grab some great times out of these....not to mention the Tone Match capabilities...I've been shredding through the Line 6 Helix a few yrs now, which is great in its own right...but I had to download some IRs to get it to sound half-ass at all

Sorry if this sounds dumb but it seems like some times he’s using the tone switch to go from distortion to clean but also using a pedal to do the same task. Is there a purpose to this? Been playing a long time but only now thinking of going digital
He’s playing the cleans on his neck pickup because thats what people do when they play cleans , and he’s using the bridge pickup of playing rhythm so get that chug sound.

@@oyc7946 he doesn’t use an axe fx. He uses his Mesa Mark V or Marshall DSL with a sm57 into a 1x12 recto.
Mitch he uses axe fx live with 2 diff amps in axe fx blended together, diezel vh4 and mark IIC+
@@SilentNightBodomNight he doesn’t use either of those amps. The Metallica live sound has been %100 Fractal Axe Fx since 2013.
