Never understood why people buy trucks with out 4wd .. Especially when you live in a place that has a snow season.

I lived in KC area for 5 years. You don't need 4WD with a pickup there. Just need some weight in the back and a set all season truck tires.

That's a rough hill. We had a forecast with possibility of flurries in the Phoenix area, which is extremely rare. The forecast has since been changed and it probably won't happen. I was walking with flip flops today. Don't miss the cold and dark, but I can deal with all the rest fine: the snow etc. The midwest is beautiful. When I went through Wisconsin this summer, wow, wonderful-the lush green.

14th, Morgan, and Comanche were always fun to try to get up. Sledded down the "hill" at Jr. High. Then 3rd street would flood in a heavy rain. Once, many years ago, we had a deuce and a half with all 10 tires chained to go rescue stranded motorist on old 154 (now U.S. 400). Yep the good ole days.

I learned a long time ago that if you let a little air out of your tires you get better traction. It flattens the tires out.

Need snow tires no matter you have 4WD or AWD! I have AWD with snow tires, most vehicles got stuck but mine went thru, without any problem. BTW, you need all 4 winter tires not just two winter tires.
