    I just got back into the hobby. First time was in the 60s when I was a young teenager. Tracks opened all over San Diego. We had one less than 1/2 mile away. My brother and I built our own cars and had so much fun. Then as quickly as they opened, they all closed. Last year I built a small track mainly for the grandkids but find I enjoy it more than they do. Having fun getting cars and figuring out how to make them faster. Started with 2 Scalextric cars that came with the first set. But got 2 Slot-it cars which are made much better than the Scalextric and easier to tune up. Just ordered my first Revoslot so looking forward to tuning and running it. Watching videos like yours and others has helped tremendously. Thanks for helping us newbies figure it out.

    you seem to do a lot better than me with the paint, I've got the black one and the clear on that is very dry, really needs another coat

    Thanks for marking out the different spec with these, Harry. We can see the yellow and white one is 'Rally' spec and the others are 'circuit' cars with just one figure and maybe the 'B' and 'C' designations have something to do with that? Personally, I think the rear spoilers are more trouble than they are worth and so I would opt for the Castrol as a circuit car but maybe the 'white' version? More generally, Revos have released the BMWs since the turn of the year and now these and with some new liveries for the Fords turning up I make that a total of 21 liveries either announced or delivered during the first four months of this year and so Revos are certainly crankin' 'em out at a rate Henry Ford II would have been proud of :) They are pretty easy to spray up and 2k clear coat too with just a single colour and so it's maybe fun for folks to dress their air brushes and run their own colours?

    Thanks for another nice video. I keep looking at the Revo Slots, but I have not pull the trigger yet on one. There are several I really like: Porsche 911 GT2 in the NewMan or Repsol livery; Ferrari F40; Mercedes CLK GTR; McLaren F1 GTR. Basically the post Group C class at LeMans: LMGT1 class cars.

    Shoe goo would be perfect for gluing those tires.

    Hi Harry, one question. I noticed that when you had the axle in the tyre truer the aluminium wheel rims seemed to run out of true. I know when you true the tyres that contact with the track is smooth but do you do anything about the rim wobbles? Just curious. 👍🇦🇺🇬🇧🏁😎Max.

      Well I try to get them as aligned as possible. It’s a challenge when you have to glue on and there is no rib to assist you. With my eyes being and old dude, I just try to get them as best I can. It’s why I use a slow setting adhesive so I have time to adjust. You want them as aligned /true as possible yes, so do a better job than I do :)

    Always glue your tires?

    • @Homeracingworld
      @Homeracingworld  Год назад +1

      Almost always. Mostly depends on fitment of tires used. Sometimes not required. Other times I am testing sizes and compounds. Too much swapping to bother gluing.
