As a producer I hear him so loud and clear. Looping 4 or 8 bars is all good but nothing like playing it through and getting that unmistakable “feel” like real bass should be. God bless this soul. He’s the soundtrack of my youth. Blessings and blessings.
Spellbinding indeed, I could listen to this man talk forever. Loving the backstories to those legendary classic songs. Flabba Holt is one of the best to ever play and produce,so sad he is not more known and appreciated… Easy Flabba, thanks for your great contribution to the development of reggae music..
IMO the greatest reggae band ever is Roots Radics, especially when you consider all of their great "guest" vocalists. Thanks to the Radics mastery of their music, they make everyone sound their best.
Jah. These are the little details of the music that i’m so grateful to get an understanding of. Huge big up to this channel. You guys bring the facts for young folks like myself who aren’t in the music scene

Maximum Respect and big up to you Flabba Holt and the Roots Radics, you are all legends of reggae music. The Night Nurse album is indeed a classic, and I agree, great music and production, it should have received a Grammy - a great album, one of my faves, I never tire of drawing for it, thanks for the insight into it's background - Max Bless !

Its a shame that we Jamaicans are still incapable of reaping the fruits of our labor and knowledge, but stay strong, for as (Geertz, 1971) opine, the way the history happened to happen is the way it has had to happen. Long Live Reggae Music.
Prince Far I himself proclaimed it on Bass Ace: "This is the public's demands, my special request, the Jamaica number one bass player, the man called Flabba!"
SO MUCH REGGAE CRUCIAL HISTORY IN RAS CARDO REGGAE HISTORICAL ARCHIVES FOR THE WORLD TO KNOW. HE SPEAKS THE TRUTHS OF ALL THE MASSIVES AND PLAYERS OF INSTRUMENTS.HE LIVED THE HISTORY AND SPEAK THE TRUTHS!
It is really good sometimes when you mix at least two (2) tracks of a song and release them so the disk jockeys can have a little fun mixing them when playing at a session or on radio.
REGGAE DOES NOT NEED America's Grammy, that's what too many , sadly think. I don't give a rat's ass about the Grammy's. Reggae music is too lofty for such a triviality.

Roots Radics x Jah Tooth = UNDEFEATED
