@@3XHS Unironically agree at some points. The addition of mechs adds this genius level of verticality, and opens up even more with the flight mechanism.
The lack of fall damage is great
I remember jumping to some frontier nav sight in Oblivia that I'm pretty sure I was supposed to use the flight module to get. Definitely agree that it's a platformer.

This needs to be on NS, it had a bad timing of WiiU's end lifespan. I would play this more than other XC games and I think it's better if they use the Elma style in XC2 Cel Shaded.

That would be pretty easy for Elma, since in XC2, they literally just ripped her model from X and turned up the brightness a bit while remodeling her head and hair.

Ahhh... X is my favourite Xenoblade. It misses a bit in story and character, but the gameplay and world design are incredible. Also my favourite soundtrack of the three.

XCX is legit, the best Xenoblade game. If I could only ever play one of them again, that’s my choice. EASILY. The world is a MASTERCLASS in developing an open world sandbox.

Be sure to ask your chat about recruit-able side characters. Most/All of them have very interesting side content that is very easy to miss if you don't have a guide. They don't contribute to the main story often, but they DO contribute to the prosperity and growth of NLA.

He actually seems to like the themes. I personally don't mind them either, don't understand why they get so much hatred.
@@thenonexistinghero it's a pretty unique music style, so I can understand some people getting weirded out at first, but people that give it a chance end up really liking it too. I personally love the variety in music styles. It gives each region its own characteristic feel.

Also, I know it's way too soon, but after he beats it and attempts a Flylocke, he should make do with only other peoples' avatars as recruitable party members and ditch them every time he dies.

X has some great music. I think it fits the game perfectly. My personal favorite of Sawano's works. I wish more people played this game.
The fact that the team select screen, the one where you get to choose between battle or exploration team (the multiplayer aspect), has a vocal track if you stay on it long enough.
That song is one of my faves along with the ground tyrant theme

Pretty sure the game does explain it at some point. Same for Tatsu's follow ball. But both of these features are only slightly useful at best at specific times.
@@thenonexistinghero to be fair, I started playing the game on tv, but the font was so freaking tiny that I skipped elmas advice a lot of Times. XD so I played most of it on the wii u pad, but I missed all the explanations.
I finally understood how to trigger follow ball on my second playthrough haha

This is the first game I think about when I hear the term "flawed masterpiece." I love it, but it could have been SO much more.
Accurate, amazing potential, tons of little stuff that's annoying, but still great.

Xenoblade X was only bad because of two things, 1: everyone was not expecting the change of music and I enjoyed it. 2: no volume settings, that was hell.

Unlike the other Xenoblade games, X is actually a real open world game. Once he's past the initial setup chapters, there's literally nothing stopping him from going almost everywhere in the world (outside of areas that can only be reached by Skell and flight).
