    Got in a motorcycle accident acouple years ago and completely lost feeling in my left hand so playing guitar with no feeling in your fingers is quite hard. I’ve never really been able to play the same until I came across you my friend. For some reason the way you explain and just take your time with things helped me out a bunch.

    I think this is what I needed . A PROPER practice routine which covers all essentials rather than wasting time. The play along makes it completely a different ball game, helps in focusing more. Thanks Bernth, you’re awesome!! 🙌🏼❤️

      Basic fundamentals. The change up on fingerings is the practice. The second exercise at 4:00 minutes is great way to find scales that harmonies in 3rds. At 4:00 min he starts Fmaj scale or F Lydian. Use the Aeolian scale he plays at 4:40? It harmonizes with F Lydian.

      Yes buts its basically, all modes using the C major scale all over the fretboard. It's great because, you dont need to memorize many many shapes to knows all yours scales, you just need to learn all these modes. If you want to play in Dmajor, you just need to transpose all this exercise two fret higher@@dannyhood4007 . same for all major scale.

    Your 15 min play along video has made such a massive difference in my practicing. Started playing along on normal, then 1.25, then 1.5, etc... Turning into the accurate speed demon I always wished I could be but thought maybe I was just born a way that could never achieve. Nope. Just practice. Can't wait to go through this one a hundred times.

    @Bernth, 1 month progress report:
    * significant improvement to tremolo picking speed directly from wrist, with no arm involved whatsoever. I can tremolo pick 880 notes per minute right now.. THANK YOU.
    * pinky feels like it sticks more to the fretboard, it doesn't move as far anymore especially during descending triplets.
    * I am not feeling any significant improvements in legato / sweep yet, maybe this will come in the future.
    * I am still struggling with Ionian triplets alternate picking exercise, still cannot hit the 720 notes per minute mark on the exercise / I think this is due to me being new to pick slanting.

    i love it to have a video with someone i can play with for excercises. i like the choices and variety of the workout. you did a great job with the compilation. i like that the excercises are repeated and that i can atleast see the notes and tabs before it starts to play. Some of the workouts unfortunatley have no preview time, but in this case i try to pause. i hear at some point some paganini style pieces my teacher once gave me. thumbs up. for anyone reading this, i reccomend the troy stetina speed excersises too. its an older book, some excercises are crazy but it has too the same amount of ingredients for finger independency, sweeps, rythm, legato pull and hammer etc.

      @@metal_guitarist It can make a difference....I'm a casual player but for the first 10 years I held it with the "trailing edge" approaching the strings instead of the "leading edge"
      All of the successful players I've ever seen use leading edge, so I've been adjusting to transitioning to leading edge and it's been ok so far, I can see now some things regarding picking are easier this way but also rhythm playing is much harder since I can't anchor the pick with the pad of my thumb and I get way more accidental pinch harmonics since switching to that type of grip was how I played them before and I'm not used to pick depth control
