Sikaflex construction sealant. Don't use the Sikaflex construction adhesive, the bond is probably too strong (it may damage the paint if you need to remove it). You could tape it on, like most people do. I fastened the miter with cyanoacrylate, a gel type used in woodworking. It's quite strong, but I'd hate to crack that joint, so I fastened it semi permanent. I think the cover will still fit over it. It's less than an inch above the hull, because it''s bedded in the bungee tray. I'll take some pictures and describe how I fabricated it over on the surfski info site.
Could you send me an email (there is an email address for the wiki in my youtube channel description that you can use)? - it's looking like I will be joining some Bellingham paddlers in Maui in January and if possible I would like to ask you some questions.
very cool Larry! that looks like good fun.
Lawrence, very nice south side run - as usual. I like the wave deflector. What are you using to hold those paddle pieces on the deck?
