Glad to see you getting back into RUclips! I appreciate the transparency regarding your streams of monetization. When it comes to your paid work with hotels and tourism boards, do you find that the majority are from them reaching out or have you pitched paid projects and been hired after pitching? How has your success been with being paid for licensing usage rights of your content after you've stayed at a hotel/resort? I saw your video for Waldorf Astoria Pedregal which was absolutely amazing! Did you get invited specifically for shooting that video?
Hi Lauren! Thanks so much for watching! Of course, I'm always very transparent. Majority of my tourism board/hotel work has been them reaching out to me. They often find me via social media, or through word of mouth recommendation. For example, I have an upcoming hotel job that is organized by an agency, so they organize everything i.e. visas, itinerary, etc. Usually in the scope of work the deliverables/rights are discussed. I have had jobs that do pay for licensing usage rights; for example last year I did a job in the Maldives where the paid to use the images on their websites. For the job with Waldorf Astoria Pedregal, I was actually invited solely to promote their resort on my socials. That video I made for them was just "for fun", and an extra deliverable for the client to over-deliver. Hope that helps!
@@LifewithElliott amazing! Thanks again for sharing, we really appreciate it. It’s been the same for us regarding paid press trips/work with local tourism boards. We haven’t yet tapped into the international market for them! Hopefully some day soon 🤞🏻 Thanks for sharing about your past licensing gigs! We’ve yet to have success for licensing after doing hotel partnerships. Do you typically just let your contact know that the assets are available for licensing if they want to use them in more ways than just organic social usage, and you give them your rates in the same email? Sometimes I don’t really understand the rules around a paid exchange when working with brands internationally, so I’m not sure if the hotel clients are willing to purchase licensing. Regarding your video for WA, that was truly a gem and they must be so content to have that piece! I’m always “team over-delivering” when working with great clients.
@@laurenneves7144 When it comes to working with clients, I always first discover what they need, and then create a solution for them. I usually jump on a call with my clients, and through conversation, I am able to offer them insight as to why working with me will solve their problems and bring them a huge return, and with that I am able to create an offer for them that they can't refuse. You can usually only sell something if the client/customer sees value in what you are offering, so the key is create an offer so valuable that they can't turn it down, and to make sure the client sees what they will get with what you are selling
I’ve been travelling the world full time for 5 years now. I create awesome high quality content on a daily basis 😏 BUT I get no reach at all 🤡 I do have 2 clients so I create photos/videos for them (skincare/beauty products) so I’m good but that niche is not really what I show on my account because I’m more travel/style focused. I’ve been stuck on 1.1k followers FOREVER and every time I post I either lose followers or get less reach than the last time. It’s annoying because I know I already have the skills to be able to monetise more what I create but… I can’t seem to get the ball rolling for the life of me! I’m grateful for my 2 clients as they allow me to live the way I do but I feel like I’ve plateaued 😵💫
All my digital products are currently being revamped and will be ready next month! Shoot me a message on IG and I'll message you when it's available :)

An other tip: contact local shops that distribute the products. We might be interested in local workshops and so on! ;)
