Great vid. Samuel boosted Phoenix when you used his skill and it filled Chia hao. At 11:53 you see both Phoenix and Chia flash and then The symbol for the rage boost appears on the her pic. It a blue spiked shape. Almost like a 🌟. With a little green + in the bottom left. Not to be confused with the other rage boost the that looks identical but also has 2 little green lines on the top right of the same looking symbol.
So you finally made my Chia Hao vid and instead of falling in love with him, you make me fall for Samuel. Well played VR, well played. Off to boost Samuel. ;)
Chia's big headwind is that his ability is a win-more ability, which a solid two decades of MtG, among other game, have thoroughly theorycraft taught us tends to be over-costed and underwhelming. Just win efficiently, don't win more. If you are killing your opponents heroes, you are already winning. The overcosted effect makes it harder to get the first kill in the first place. Both heroes seem fine, they just seem good for their passives, not their arena play. Samuel is in search of some multiple hero combination effect that is so broken that processing an ability twice in one turn is totally match breaking. His charge is quite slow, so it seems to need to be a charge up and 4 to 5 hero combination ability chain, like a combo deck, or your beloved Pheonix combo. I'm not seeing a case yet where Samuel duplicating an effect is better than simply a 5th effect to add to the combination, mostly because most buffs and debuffs do not cumulatively stack and Samuel randomly targets. However, Samuel is a card that continually gets better over time as more hero are released, and more surface area accumulates for the combo style. He is the MtG snapcaster mage, so to speak, of PnS.
All good points. I would suggest alternatively that Chia Hao really shines as a "pre-counter" to phoenix, McCarty and other DOT heroes. Phoenix can seem overpowered in many instances and he blocks the main aspect of her skill. While I completely agree that using Samuel to retrigger skills is virtually worthless (except perhaps in the case of healers) his main advantage is to be used as a counter to rage stealers. I can't tell you how many battles i have been in against a relatively weak mantis or mars (or even atropos) where my healer gets unwittingly targeted right before using their skill and then the enemies heavy hitter (i.e. Phoenix, Obsidian etc) end up wiping out 1 or multiple of my heroes. Since my teams usually require cooperation the loss of even 1 hero usually spells defeat. My lineups usually end up with results such that all heroes are alive or none. So I think of Chia Hao and Samuel not so much as independent heroes whose skills are effective in their own right but as heroes that can be used to counter the effects of other heroes. I may do a video on the following topic later but for now suffice it to say I predominantly see only 2 or 3 hero lineups in arena with slight adaptations or variations usually based on the strength of heroes levelled for their troop boosts rather than their match 3 acumen. Both Chia Hao and Samuel are heroes that for the end game will result in new adaptations. My opinion of course. Thanx so much for your insights!
Hi I just moved to another state...now in our old state we just did a plus 1 for ZL...now in the new state a load of cars in support will help reduce casualties or is just the 1 fine?? Love your vids!
I recommend 1 troop only. Vehicles are good or the same troop type. Whichever gives you the least casualties. I dont recommend sending multiple vehicles to the rally but if you are doing that with success let me know.
Watched some of your videos & subbed last night 😎. Unlocked Samuel today, woohoo! Question - can u explain what “enhanced active skill” means? My best current guess is enhanced active skills are independent of hero level (unlike some other skills, Samuel’s first skill being an example), but I’m not 100% sure
So this is probably a trickier question to answer than it may seem and there is a chance my idea of it is incorrect so I will see if I can find a better answer. But my understanding of what it means. When it says "enhanced active skill" the skill is what ever the hero does when their rage is full. This is their first or primary skill. Obvious enough. The enhanced active basically means take that skill and add more to it. So if if the base skill is do % dmg. An enhanced active skill might be "lower defense %". So both are now considered 1 skill. Where as if the hero does % dmg as main skill and then improves block rate that is 2 separate skills. The reason i think this is important is because lets say the main skill is blocked. Anything that says enhanced active skill is also blocked simultaneously while anything that does not say "enhanced active" will act as a separate skill and still work. So enhanced active means the skills work together as one and can be blocked or changed as one. While non enhanced active skills act like independent skills so blocking one has no effect on the other. I hope this helps. I might do a video on it. Hard to show but ill see what i can do and seek further clarification. Thanx for subscribing!
Awesome profile of the new heroes, VR. Samuel might be the most boring-looking character, but I can see potential in his utility. Could he be a replacement for Ulrich, if he gets a red star?
Ya blue books are a built in bottleneck to prevent players from growing too fast. 20-9 is where i recommend you farm to get the most blue books at the cheapest AP cost.
Hes a rage stealer similar to mantis. I will have more videos on heroes as i can including 2 star through 5 star heroes. For now hes most useful when you want the enemies to not be able to build their rage as quickly
@@ValenceRing I'm sorry I should have been more specific. I was thinking more on the lines of his rally size skill when does it come into okay and how best to utilize it?
As soon as you unlock it you are already using it. His skills are passive and always apply (at least that one) he never needs to be in a march or a rally for that skill to be in effect.
777 event is stupid event I hate it I got only 10 frags 2 times after spinning 50 coins each time (used 50×2 and when I started the game used like 18 any got only 20 frags) My alliance member got like 70 frags back to back 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I saw it during editing lol missed it during filming. Thanx for catching that!
Cool video! Thank you so much for these :) I really like how you explain what the terms mean. I am always clueless about those lol
Happy to help and thanx for watching!

Lol. Well thanx for all you do and all your support!
Thank you for the video as always. I really have to focus more on hero skills. Will use chai-Hao more in campaign with poison ennemies.
Great option. Mantis and fox also help by removing negative status effects
That is great .I will start to update Samuel hero.thanks brother
DRAGON EMPEROR
Awesome! Thanx for watching

Thanx! I appreciate it
I am impatiently awaiting the continuation of the ultimate challenges, several players of my state are stuck at 250
Stuck there myself. Might be a minute lol but im working on it
Thanks for the vid I'm currently leveling Samuel and the only problem I see is getting frags for him 😑
He will probably be in the intel collection event which is for the non major holidays usually. I would expect one this weekend. Could be wrong.
@@ValenceRing I'm really hoping he is it would be nice
Samuel is my favourite character now because he’s Awesome 😎

@@ValenceRing wow thanks, that actually makes a ton of sense!
Thanx. I will get some other opinions too just in case i am wrong lol. It does happen sometimes.
BTW Chia Hao = pronounced chi yah how....THANK YOU lots for the video Ty
Thank you! I wasnt sure how to pronounce it. I appreciate it!

I definitely think so. Different skills but with fox buffing defense it would work out
Do you have any tips or tricks on getting blue books I feel like I am always trying to farm them so I can lvl my heros to 211 thanks

Hi i m new if there can be a way to exchange the books low stars books to higher plz make a video
There is not unfortunately.
How do you use Dr. J?

There is still some luck involved but at least you got the guaranteed 10. Good luck in future attempts!
Do Chia Hao or Samuel have their own Nanoweapon?
I thought u couldn’t save coins
Joy coins can be saved between events. I do it every time until I get 50
