Hiii Lucy! I’m currently studying in Westminster and going to be in yr13 in September. It was very brave of you to not to take the offer and actually know what you want. Also thank you for making this video because when I applied there were barely any information on the internet and I was really stressed. All best for ur alevels. Also if anyone have any question about Westminster u are welcome to ask me.
Guys Westminster’s a great school but a. Hooke, the science building, is a 10 minute walk away from most of the school b. We have Latin prayers, YES LATIN PRAYERS, every Wednesday and c. Saturday school..
Hi Lucy!!! I will be applying for Westminster School for 16+ in a few years and there are a few concerns I have and I know you are the perfect person ask. 1) I'm an international student, and I have been studying at an international school every since kindergarten (basically a school that teaches English in a foreign country). My concern is that it follows the American style of teaching which is different than the British style, this also affected my accent and writing style . I was wondering if this would affect my chances of getting accepted. 2) I was also wondering if extra talents and skills (as in playing an instrument, doing a sport, etc) would be beneficial when applying for Westminster. One thing I read from the 16+ requirements on the Westminster School website is having an interview with the school if chosen to. I was hoping you would know what to say. Thank you Lucy! I'm glad to havs an amazing role model like you!❤️❤️❤️ Have an amazing day!!
4:59 The Hooke science building actually has 7 official floors…I need to walk up 6 floors on Fridays for chemistry (although it’s usually the biology floor), it is TOUGH on the legs 😅 and only the teachers can use the lift
@pawelpow lol just started fifth form this year Hooke is so painful my friend has to get from Weston’s to the 6th floor of Hooke for wellbeing as well absolutely crazy
Thank you for the video. How did you prepare for your entrance exam and interview? Also, do they tell you which topics are going to come up in the entrance exams? cuz my school hasn't covered the whole GCSE specifications yet(im sure every school hasnt)
I am looking to apply for this sixth form. I attend a public school. Do you think it would be advisable for me to apply . I hope to do biology, chemistry & History.
Did you end up applying? If you did, the entrance exams should be in a couple weeks or so? I’m at Westminster now and by the way you need to do at least 4 A levels, with your subjects I’d say to do maths is well. You can hit me up if you have any questions.
Hi, so I'm in year 11 and I plan on applying to Westminster school in year 12 and I know entrance exams are next month and I was just wondering if you could tell me what sort of questions came up? As I plan on taking politics however I have never studied it before so I don't know how to prepare for it
Hi I am doing this as well and the exams are on the 6th of November do you have insta so we can talk more and I can put you in contact with another person who is also applyin who I found off the student room.
Hello!! I am currently in Y10 applying for Westminster School! May I ask how you prepared for your entrance exams? I heard that there are no past papers available, so I was really daunted. Are the questions very difficult? Or is it similar to IGCSE (or GCSE) questions?
Hi! I'm in Y10 rn and want to apply to Westminister School. I want to pick Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Geography- all those are my favourite subjects and the subjects that I am strongest at. Your advice was really helpful alongside the advice I got from Student Room! [I'm scared to apply since I'm a boy applying to the Westminister Sixth Form and they mainly pick girls, how many boys were there when you completed your tests, if you don't mind me asking?]. But anyways, thank you soooooo much!! 🤩🤎
Hi! So glad to hear that and definitely go for it! I remember seeing a lot of boys when I was there - both during the exams and interview, so please don’t be scared to apply. Best of luck! 💕
Firstly, nice video, thank you for sharing your valuable experience! With respect, can I ask your academic grades when you enter Westminster school. Like how many 9 did you get when you were applying to the Westminster school etc. I know it’s a very personal question. But I want to do the entrance exam this year. It makes me so nervous as I only got 5A out of 7 subjects. (3A+)
Thanks!! Of course, I can’t really remember the exact grades that I had but I believe the report had a mix of 9s and 8s but please please don’t let the grades throw you off! From my understanding, as long as you perform well in their entrance exams and interview, they won’t really care. I really hope that you do the entrance exam and please do ask if you have any other questions :)
Hi I'm Year11 and I thinking should I want to go Westminster school:)But I have the personal reason and study late a year.Which mean I'm 17 years olds birthday in year 11.I saw the application it said it the birth year need to be 2007 or 2008.(I'm in 2006) So is it still can apply or not?And also what should I do for the application?:)
Hope you have a good day too! I think it's just called Westminster School (I think Westminster city and Harris Westminster are two other schools in London) xx
i just wanted to know that after submitting the application fee our place is confirmed in the school or not? and also is queen scholarship very difficult to get and after getting it still we have to pay a lot of amount?
I remember there being a small application fee, to cover the cost of marking etc. Queen’s scholarship is very competitive, and I think there is around a 50% reduction of fees. Please do consult their website though, it was a while ago.
I did the exam about 2 weeks ago and was able to pass and now I’m stressing of the interview 😭
Feel free to email for mock interviews :)

How hard was the entrance exam. What subjects were included and was it harder than GCSEs
@@abthegoatt it’s just a bit above gcse level, but mostly testing ur problem solving and ur ability to respond to unknown concepts
@Abdullah Yar Hiii I thought the admission process for 2022 sixthform entry finished already? If u are talking about lower school then I’m not so sure
@Abdullah Yar how was it ?
Thank you for this! You're the only person i can seem to find who has covered sixth form applications/entrance exams
Hi Lucy 😊, I really like your videos!!! Could you also make a video about how to choose Oxbridge collages?😃
Done!! xx

Is there anywhere I can find 16+ entrance exams for previous years? I found for 13+, but not for 16+.
Not that I'm aware of, but the 16+ entrance exams are extremely similar to "the challenge" papers on their website
@@LucyWangYuxin these ones? www.westminster.org.uk/admissions/scholarships/the-challenge/
Yes those are the best practice!
No I believe they actually hire people to go online and delete any 16+ practice papers lol
was there was a dress-code when you had to take the exam?
No, anything you're comfortable with!
does everyone who apply there get selected for entrance exams or does it depend on application
Is there a dress code for entry exam
