Besides being crazy good these kids just put a smile on your face, they are so supportive and seem to be having a lot of fun. Been loving these Japan videos, hope your having fun! Also Isamu still just blows me away, his tricks and his style are so good!
the incredible thing is that some parents in japan are really supportive to their kids skating. even from such a really young age. it creates such a nice atmosphere to the skating scene in Japan
in Japan if you want to do something, you can. You have support from school with lot of extra classes, also from parents. Completely different country and i love that. I wish to have that support when i was kid
What i like about you Jonny is that you are there for everyone to have fun and learn. When i was skating it was always competition and being called a ”poser”. Still had fun though, but it was not very nice haha (this was back in like 96-97). Fun fact though, i helped a friend to do his first kickflip, he later become a pro and got sponsorships.
Japan has a wonderful skate scene that I'm proud to be a part of, I live not far from Osaka now and want to enjoy the skate scene there too. But I am recovering from a broken wrist (due to skating) still and had to pause. But hope to back on the board by July when I turn 40....
Even if you don't wear any other pads, please get wrist guards! Anytime you bail, your hands go down to protect you from smashing your head and take all your weight. Thus, wrists snap easily. If English is your second language, yours is wonderful too!
isamu and you have such great vibes. his dad too. i love the wholesomeness you all bring to the scene. Mullen would be so proud. i have a young son very interested in the sport and i pray for these kinds of vibes for him. he is such a gentle soul
I love this so much, these kids are amazing. Love how far skating has come since I started in the late 90s. I couldn't even fathom doing this as kid. These kids are raw and the future of skating is very bright.
Nice!! My buddy owns a skate shop and he has several Japanese kids on his team. The work ethic and fun are off the charts. I want to skate with those kids!!
I don’t speak Japanese but your Japanese sounds pretty convincing! Awesome session with the little rippers! They’re so good and it looks like they’re not taking themselves too seriously and allowing themselves to just be kids.
I have been watching your videos since before you started all the Rodney mullen tricks and you and these kids and you are on that level if not 1000% better. Rodney will always be my favorite but you are a very close second. Keep making these amazing videos so I can dream about what I could have become. My skating career ended at 19 due to a friend that fell on a half and launched his board into my knee ending my sponsorships with some very well known skate companies.
I was at Akamaru last summer and there were an absolute ton of kids there that day, every single one of them sending it down that handrail 😂 Just unreal!
dude doing party or karaoke in japan is realy harsh but also a lot of fun. kids in japan are skating like some pros cant ... especially oosaka is notorious for it
@@YANAPA no it ain't because nyjah gets much more attention than isamu and he generates so much more views on yt. i'm not saying skating was just about yt views but they're a good indicator for if someone is underrated.
5:50 Help me out... this looks very smooth and somehow difficult to me. I have not skated in forever, but pushing up and over the riser like that involves a weird shift of balance, that this kid did without flinching... or am I wrong? I was wondering why this shot would be in slo mo otherwise.
I love how diverse skateboarding is. A swiss dude in japan making a video for his english language channel is just cool.
The world keeps shrinking! 😅

Them all going nuts seeing you do a primo slide is so wholesome. Primo slides are one of those things that transcend cultural differences.

Jonny and Isamu in the same video, we don't deserve this much awesome. Those kids were absolutely killing it. Great video.

Every one of those kids is so inspiring, so cool to get to see them just get out there, absolutely shred, and have a good time.

Good and fast recovering and greetings from 🇨🇭✌️

There's probably no collection of young skaters as skilled as those little dudes. Amazing
You should make a full length documentary about these lil freestyler skaters in Japan!
Love how you show the messups because it shows that everything takes practice and isn't always done right on the first try
isamu and you have such great vibes. his dad too.

It was great to hear you trying your best with the Japanese you know. Keep up the learning!
I don’t speak Japanese but your Japanese sounds pretty convincing! Awesome session with the little rippers! They’re so good and it looks like they’re not taking themselves too seriously and allowing themselves to just be kids.
Imagine skating a deck that’s longer than your leg, and absolutely shredding it.
Those kids👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

That's the cleanest, tidiest indoor skate-park I've ever seen
OMG mind blown… There is some stuff in here I’ve just never seen before! They’re incredible!

Even more amazing the humility
Fantastic skating in there! Those kids really working to elevate their skills!

Japan is coming in heavy 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I always love how your threshold for a successful trick requires rolling away clean, not just landing.

These kids SHRED

How sick is the one on 25sec mate 😮😍
No matter how good you are at something, there's always an Asian child who's better.

@@senfgutzi863 There is a 14 year old Chinese basketball prodigy called Zhang Ziyu who is 7ft 4in

10:11 are you bloody serious?

Even Tony Hawk asked what was going on in Japan with all the child prodigies
The sizs of that board doing freestyle stuff. Wow
isamu is one of the most underrated skaters in the world, period.
Isamu is five time world champion. He’s not underrated at all. It’s like saying Nyjah is underrated… 🤨
@@YANAPA no it ain't because nyjah gets much more attention than isamu and he generates so much more views on yt. i'm not saying skating was just about yt views but they're a good indicator for if someone is underrated.
