- In this video we have covered:
1. Basic Settings required for foundation design
2. Process of Foundation Design in TSD
3. Generating Drawings in AutoCAD
4. Discussion about practical applications of the design from my experience.
Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) is an Advanced Software for the structural Analysis and Design. It has an user friendly interface with the capacity of generating outputs in the form of Structural Drawing, Material Quantity (Steel and Concrete), Design Report etc.
The Purpose of Er. Mainak Choudhury is to spread the knowledge and skill to all civil engineering students and professionals through Civil Bro.

Hi bro mac book air support to tekla software ...or which laptop is better for tekla software.. please reply
For these kind of software Windows is preferred
How can I ask tekla to design the foundations considering the service load combination only?
That's a good question, till now I did not find any option of using un-factored load combination for foundation design, like we can do in Bentley RCDC. As we know for foundation design we should use un-factored load combination because in soil test report the SBC is already calculated using a FOS of 2.5.
@@MainakChoudhury Thanks for the reply, my solution would be creating a copy of the project and delete the previous load combinations and create service load combination only.
However, this solution is not enough since it will be only for bearing pressure, not punching shear or bending moment since these require ultimate load combination.
Would like to hear how you would solve this.
Sir kya hum is chiz ko practically apply krte Hain ki nahi?
Yes,
I thought the support conditions had to be assigned as fixed
Ideally, Yes
You didn't group the foundation into design groups.
16 desiggs for 16 footings doesn't seems right.
Yes, you are right. Building of this size, the footings can be done in max 4 groups
