We feel the HDL30’s did better than the other 2 line array options on low mids making it sound better for rock and roll with in your face palm muted guitars. The HDL6’s though they work for all genres work incredibly well for talking heads, small to medium venue band reinforcement, and corporate events where keeping things clean are important. The 20’s are still a great cabinet especially at the price point. We primarily use them for events where strategic aiming and zone volume control isn’t as important. We have done many national artist with them without complaint. They do have a little less tear rejection so not as good for talking heads. The TTL6’s are great for us with venues with balconies and are quick to deploy when stacking, not so quick while flying. They can throw incredibly far and are very full sounding being a three way cabinet. We have been extremely pleased with them. As far as the subs we will probably get a lot of crap for this but the 8006’s have more output than the 9006’s without a question. There are a lot of shows we do 2 8006 subs coupled in the center. We wouldn’t dream of doing this with 2 9006’s because they would be in limit all night. Having the rdnet and extra handles on the 9006’s make them nice and they do have the ability to go lower realistically 5-10 hz lower. If someone only had a budget to get 2-4 subs we would suggest 8006 all the way without a question. If you are going to have 6 or more go with the 9006.
The ttl’s contain more in the 500-900 range and less growly than the HDL6’s in the low mids. I’d bet however you’d get more headroom and impact from the HDL6 than the TTL
I’ve been waiting for a TTL6 vs KV2 comparison. KV2 is a big player in my EDM market for ground stacks and ground stack sub/ceiling hang speakers. The KV2’s are amazing, but these RCF rigs are getting times of hype.
AdVantage Digital the TTL6 is definitely a pro cabinet. It is amazing even with a 90x30 horn in our opinion they are more long throw than the 20’s and 6’s. Of course if you have 16 of the 6’s per side that is a different story.
@@sweettreeproductions2149 thanks for the info... I know its hard to say but what setups of hdl 6a, hdl 10 and hdl 20 would be a comparison to 4x ttl 6a outdoors with distance in mind? For example... 5 a side (10 total) of hdl 20 would be comparable to 2 a side ttl 6 (4 total)? It's a very broad question I understand but a rough estimated would be great :-)
AdVantage Digital 3-5 of the 20’s is a decent comparison to two TTL6’s per side. 6-8 of the HDL6 would be close to the HDL6. The 10’s we were never that impressed with so we really can’t give you a fair comparison.
I know this is old video, but just thought I would ask. If you were buying new today would you pick 4 TTL 6-A (2 per side) or 12 HDL 6-A (6 per side) ? This is for an out door contemporary church pavilion, 750 seats.
We are very familiar with SRX. These tops would be a huge upgrade. Shoot us a message and we can get you the best price available info@sweettreeproductions.com they would work well with your subs but they can definitely outrun subs easily.
Internet pricing for these rigs including powercon/XLR links, fly bar, and pick point puts the HDL 6-A rig at $17,500 per side, and the TTL 6-A rig around $15,500 per side (not including Sumner lifts or the 9006s). The recorded audio sounded pretty similar - can you comment on two things: (1) The far-field performance, given the HDL 6-A would has more HF drivers alligned; (2) power consumption in Amps at 120v?
Jared Bratsberg while the TTL6’s are our go to cabinet for many ground stack shows. Flying is a bit difficult on them compared to the 6’s. The TTL6’s do throw incredibly far just to be 2 cabinets per side. They can definitely compete with 6 HDL6’s per side. As far as power we run 6 HDL6’s off one 20 amp circuit and 2 of the TTL6’s off of one 20 amp circuit. The TTL6’s are more even tone and being three way are able to project the high mids a bit further. Let us know if we can ever get you a deal on anything.
They are very similar the biggest difference is the dispersion of the horn for the high frequencies. To us we can tell that the TT series is 96K. Both are incredible cabinets.
I can't believe that the 8006 kicks harder than then 9006. We are talking about 3600w and 142db vs 2500w and 141 db on paper. How is this even possible?
I am Dobix Fletcher Munson curves are a good start for the explanation. Just because a cabinet might have more power or a higher dB rating doesn’t mean you can “hear” the extra power. In our opinion after now years of using both, the 9006 will go lower in frequency response. Does it take more energy to reproduce lower frequencies? Most definitely. The 8006 is a much larger cabinet that doesn’t respond as low and is tuned higher. Humans can discern 60-80hz much better than 40-60hz. So without getting into some serious Loudness vs SPL vs db vs pure physics of the beast even though the 8006 on paper isn’t as loud it will for most of us be perceived as louder. Which one is more musical? In our opinion the 9006. Which limits faster? The 9006 (could be the firmware) Which seams “louder” per cabinet? The 8006 If you do what we do and have the need for 20 plus subs get the 9006. If you don’t have the budget for a ton of subs the 8006 is the way to go. Hope this helps some. Thank you for always being such a faithful viewer.
@@sweettreeproductions2149 And I thank you for always responding fast as detailed! I own some TTS26A (double 15inch subs) and I just want 2 double 18 subs to pair with them. Because of the RDNET I tend to choose the 9006 but the 8006 is a much better option in terms of price/power ratio. Damn, hard choices to make here :))
Hdl 6 the hi is best mid very nice / ttl 6 mid excellent the hi very good but not excellent - the ttl 6 more open more wide - but maybe because to line array you need to be front of the speaker ' & you more right from balance between the speaker.

centerstage entertainment wonder what the house system is I can see it
good question
Alex Koch it was JBL SRX

sounds to me the TTL6 have a far more "open" sound and a better frequency response. can you agree on that ?
Yes we agree 100%

TTL6
If you guys are a DB Technologies dealer love to see a video of the IG3T over a Sub18H. Thanks
How do the TTL6's compare to the DB Tech IG3t's?
Has the TTL 6 been discontinued? If so What has it been replaced with?
To our knowledgeable it hasn’t been discontinued.
It’s been discontinued the the hdl28 is the new version with updated amp module, but similar driver sizes and performance
I see no cardioid subs for the video. Wow that’s a lot of system for this small theatre cool video
As far as just pure sound quality which would you say is better? TT5A or TTL6?
D Lee in our opinion the TTL6 for quality

In SPL terms, how many HLD6 boxes could be compared with two units of TTL6? Great video!
There is definitely a huge tone difference.. the TTL6 has a very clean and high SPL capability. To match 2 realistically it would probably take 8.
@@sweettreeproductions2149 super impressive
Excuse me how many excatly people room to fit tt6 ?????
It really depends on what type of music and how large of a venue. The TTL6’s are very powerful tops.

Hopefully soon.
I like the ttl6. With the hdl6 I’m hearing a weirdo phasing thing around 800hz don’t like that
Alex Koch we agree the TTL6’s definitely have a more even sound. Being a three way cabinet definitely gives it an advantage.
What stands are you using here?
check the sound of the song, what's the title??
Amazing sound from the TTL"s! How many you got there playing? The depth is really cool! Even on vocals!
Just 2 TTL 6-A they are great cabinets we own 6 and love them.
Request that song you always use to show speakers I wish you could find a different song you don’t have to just my opinion
