How to Automatically Link Records with Airtable Automations (EASY!)

In this video I show you how you can automatically link records in Airtable using Airtable Automations. This quick Airtable Automation hack will allow you to easily link records to each-other in Airtable Automations using the Record ID cached in the trigger of the Airtable Automation. Using this same technique of the trigger and action of Airtable Automations, you can also automatically assign a collaborator to a linked record task in your Airtable Project Management Base, or many other use cases. I have a spreadsheet of contacts. One of the columns is the Company that they work for. In my base, I have a Companies table and a Contacts table. How do I get Airtable to try and link each Contact to a Company?

That's great, but is there a way to include variables on the fields of the newly added records, so it's not just "Ben Greene", but assigned to whoever owns that opportunity? (based on a field in the Opportunity table)

@1:50 how did you get those colored lines to the left of the screen beside the numbers 13, 14, 15...24? the colores are blue orange purple green?

You can use the color setting in the view toolbar. Set it the same as the single select field that is a status

Hey guys !
Here a touchy problem for experts on Airtable !
I've built a Softr app, for founder and experts. To exchange feedbacks onto founders projects.
I try to create an automation that : links the record from Feedback sheet, to Founders project sheet.
When a expert write a feedback, to a specific founder project. I would like to automaticly notify the founder that a new feedback was submitted.
Is anyone can help me ? :)
