Ive got an 73 T-bird, 429, black over black cherry. 76k original on the clock. Gorgeous ride, tomb quiet, floats over railroad crossings. Torqy as hell. Love the " Big Birds" subscribed immediately
I loved this generation of Thunderbirds. I know the 1977-1979 gets all the fanfare but these were the last really big Thunderbirds based on the Lincoln Mark IV chassis and body. They have a commanding presence on the road and looks that are so elegant. Nice to see someone servicing it properly and keeping it up to snuff so it will drive for many more years to come. I'm not sure what makes this specific car, "Ultra rare" but maybe someone can let me know.
@@willfixit5346 True but i know they made alot of special editions of the Thunderbirds during the 1975-1976 model years. This is not one of them so that's why i said it really isn't rare.
Wow, still has the factory exhaust! Does it also have the factory life jackets and mooring lines? It may require 2 acres for a 3 point turn, but that car will have a better ride than 95% of what is on the market today. It would almost allow you to doze off if that 460 didn't require you to stop at every other gas station.
Bro I'm jealous. I had a 79 T-bird with the 351 Windsor with Cleveland Parts head and carburetor and intake. Almost $840 horsepower and the girls loved my vehicle because they said the back seat was like a giant couch. They used to call it the make out mobile. I paid $400 for it out of a cornfield and Flat Rock Alabama. Me and my dad went and bought a battery a can of starting fluid 10 gallons of fuel and a new fuel pump in 45 minutes we had the tank drained new gas new fuel pump battery in and the car was riding down the road at 75 on Interstate 85 headed to 95 South. Anyway I had to go back to New York because of some things with my job and my sister didn't want to drive the car so my dad ended up selling it to the lady named Vampira from the gorgeous ladies of wrestling from back in the day she had a black one with a white top and she wanted a bunch of parts so my car still sits in this lady's yard with half of the engine missing half of the Interior missing and my entire heart crushed. I put a lot of time and money and effort into that car. And that car got me a lot of dates and a lot of nights in the sand dunes on the hood and you already know how long those hoods are LOL almost as long as some of the ladies I dated in that car LOL thank you for sharing bro beautiful piece of Machinery that's the only Ford worth driving. And I'll say it again and I don't care how many people been in here like Ford. This Thunderbird the Ford Thunderbird from the 70's model to the 79 the last year they made the big body they're the only Fords worth driving.😅😂😍💪💪💪
The vinyl top with the round windows were way better .. does Square window didn't look right on this model it would have looked way better if they went with the round window or the little square Wing window this one's too big. That's the only thing I don't like about the 76 is the little tiny back window it's not like the round one. It's similar to the Lincoln though that big old stinking Lincoln the 78 Continental I had one of them too boy let me tell you what I miss my big old steel boats . Clean pretty car bro if you ever want to sell it let me know
@@willfixit5346 you know what's funny my fuel gauge was the same way in my 79 until I put a new tank and a new pickup in. It was funny as hell just looking at that light going damn that's the same light that comes on on most of them
I had a brand new '78 Mercury Cougar, basically the same vehicle, but with a Cleveland V8, all the options in midnight blue with camel cloth interior and landau roof. Nice ride. Then I got married and traded it in for a Honda station wagon. :(
I disagree with on the zinc in 15w40 oil. I run rotella oil in my IH Scouts and my cub cadet lawn tractors. Every oil change I do on my Scout's I send in an oil sample to a lab. I send a sample in every 3rd oil change on my daily drivers. Daily drivers get 5w30 mobile 1. Have yet to get a bad report on any sample sent in. The oil in both Scout's stays clear untill right before the 3000 mile mark. Both are carb engine's, both are drove hard all summer. Got a 4 hour drive in a few weeks for a national meet. Looking forward to testing that new aluminum radiator at 90 mph running at 3400 rpm on the interstate.

My mom had one just like it. I miss that car.
7 seconds to 60! Not bad Will! Love that ride!! Take care of her!❤
Might have gotten there a Lil more faster if I'd manually shifted instead of just leaving in drive. Thanks for watching ✌️😁♥️

Ultra rare now, due the fact they are no longer on the road. Many have been scrapped. When was the last time you seen one on the road?

@R.A.W.R.NEWS.T.V.1776 Lol 😂😂😂The fuel gauge doesn't work so the low fuel light stays on 😂

Actually the 77 and later were downsized ... Crazy as they were still huge and were downsized again for 79.
Ouch😂
Thanks everyone for watching ❤
Love the Mohawk remind me of one of my brother deplorables
Those are the optional deep dish aluminum wheels
My father in law had a 1976 Thunderbird, turd brown.
Ohhhhhh nice!!!!!❤
@@willfixit5346 My dad bought my mom a brand new 1978, blue with blue vinyl seats. Traded in the Pinto with the simulated wood on the side for it.
Dad took an LTD shaved the heads and took the family on a western tour!

As for an oil report, check out Blackstone Labs. It's 40 bucks a sample. Been using them for a few years.

Nice car & enjoyable video . Not sure what makes it “ultra rare” ?
The fact you don't see them anymore. They have all been scrapped or thrown away. When was last time you've seen one on the road?
